I got to read the ARC for this book. Definitely recommend to all middle and high schoolers. There is a beautiful journey that the main character takes ; both physically and emotionally that leaves you breathless. Great themes of family, forgiveness, dreams and disappointments.

Urchin and the Heartstone

By M. I. McAllister

This is one of the rare occasions where the second book in the series is just as good as the first. Maybe even better! I loved the characters and the plot. Even though I usually don't go for fable-type stories, this is a must!

The Border

The Border

By Steve Schafer

This book is about Arbo (16), Pato (16), Gladys (15), and Marcos (17). Then and all there families were at a.family friends quinceañera when a big gang in Mexico (Narcos). Overnight they get a $2,500 bounty on there heads. They decide it's time to leave Mexico and cross the border to the United States. They don't have enough money so they can't hide a guia (I'm pretty sure that's Spanish for guide) so they decide to take on the desert head on with barely enough supplies - only what they can carry. But they run into trouble along the way. . . Will they all make it? Read the book to find out! I would recommend for 13 and up. Thanks for reading -Ajg15's Reviews
