Kids Books - History
Jack and Jill
By Louisa May Alcott
Jack and Jill by Louisa May Alcott is a 24 chapter fictional book about two friends. They have small, lighthearted adventures over the course of one year. I really enjoyed connecting to the characters on a personal level, seeing myself in them more than once. If you've read A Wrinkle in Time, this book is similar in writing style. My favorite part about this book is that the characters make mistakes and learn from them. It makes them more relatable. I would highly recommend this book to kids who are reading the classics, who want to read a fun short story, or are learning about different sentence structures. From 0 to 10, I give this book a strong 8.

Saving Hitler: An Alternate History Book
By Ian James
This is great! It really makes me mad how every book is against Germany okay yes what the nazis did was horrific and inhuman. But not every soldier was part of the nazi party and really most of them where just fighting for survival so it's nice to have some light shone on Germany. You need to know a little about ww2 for this book . So ya acceptable

The Good, the Bad, and the Barbie: A Doll's History and Her Impact on Us
By Tanya Lee Stone
This book is really interesting! My mom collected barbies when she was younger, and it's fun to try to identify the barbies that she had with the ones in the book. I really like the pictures as well. I don't rate many books 5 stars, so that's something right there :)
Taliesin and the Witch
By Michael Wyndham Lewis
Angharad
read this to my 5 and 7 year old and they loved it. Great drawings and a briliant twist at the end.
World War II (You Choose Books: An Interactive History Adventure)
By Elizabeth Raum
This book was quite well written but the thing htat I didn't like that brought down my review to 3 stars was that the choices were not all listed. The way of turning the page was not fun and I would prefer opening the flaps or something.
Ancient China: An Interactive History Adventure (You Choose: Historical Eras)
By Terry Collins
So I did a research report about China's history before so I know a lot about it. The 3 beginning roads did not include all the Ancient China dynasties and the feeling of being there was not realistic. Could have some improvement.
Three Presidents Died on the Fourth of July: and Other Freaky Facts About the First 25 Presidents
By Barbara Seuling
I bet you didn't know that President Washington didn't want the capital named after him? he preferred Federal City. The citys name was quickly switched after Washington died. Or that President Monroe, was broke after his 2 terms and had to move in with his daughter. This book was full of really unbelievable, crazy facts and it was pretty fun to read. I would recommend this to 9+ Thanks for reading -Ajg16's reviews
