Odette's Secrets

Odette's Secrets

By Maryann Macdonald

I really love historical fiction and books during the time period of World War Two. This book made me feel very generous toward my life and family. I am very lucky to have not lived in that time period.

Wizardology: The Book of the Secrets of Merlin (Ologies)

By Master Merlin

I LOVE it! It teaches you how to be wizards, and about wizards and there clothes, workshops, wands, spells, pets, and more! The magic is probably not real, but it still sparks your imagination!

A great book to read, as it gives in site on Kathleen views, and has great information about how hard it was during those times.

What the Moon Said

What the Moon Said

By Gayle Rosengren

Leia Kadlec

I Love this Book. If your in 6th grade I'm sure you'll agree with me. Its characters are fun, the story is surprisingly suspenseful while also being predictable, and you can easily relate with going on. Ester is a ton of fun and you really feel sorry for her when bad things happen. If you like historical fictions that aren't all exciting but still leave you knowing more about the time as well as the story then you'll enjoy this story. I highly recommend it.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I think think book mixes history and a story great together. You can learn about their life style while still following a great adventure. This book doesn't have a lot of action but the rest of the book makes up for it. The only thing I didn't like was that the middle was a little bit repetitive. It had a little section for each day of their adventure. Besides that, this is a great book.

I give this book a 4 because it could have had a lesson behind it help people in the real world. Also it could have been longer and have more detail. It was good because it had a good story to it. Also it had a good ending in the end of the book.

Next Spring an Oriole (A Stepping Stone Book)

By Gloria Whelan

This book is about a girl named Libby and she goes on a adventure and meets a Indian girl and helps her when sh is sick. But they can not be friends because Indians move a lot to find better hunting grounds.like this book because i learned about when they did not have cars and they had to move in covered wagon. My favorite part is when Libby meets the Indian girl again she brings her corn cakes.
