Smiles to Go

Smiles to Go

By Jerry Spinelli

Smiles to go is a book about the everyday life of a nineth-grade boy named Will Tuppence and problems he faces with his family, love life, school, and friends. His opinions and feelings about his life are events that happened to every reader. When I read this book, I feel like Will and I have the same opinion about many things, and this makes me feel like I am a character in this book. One thing I can relate to very much is that Will always thinks that his parents love his sister more, so he always complains about how unfair life is but nobody listens to him. This reminds of my grandparents and my little sister because I would complain to my parents, but they don’t listen to me either, so I know how he feels. Even though there are many things I can relate to in this book, I think there are two elements I don't like about this book. The first element is that there is not enough action in this book, so it’s a little boring. Most actions are about skateboard and very normal events that everyone does. The second element is that the author didn’t write enough detail to describe the characters‘ appearances, so the characters do not feel real because I can’t imagine what they look like. I don’t recommend to the peopel who want a lot of action and surprises in the book. I do recommend it to teens enjoy reading about things that could happen to them.

David Gets In Trouble

David Gets In Trouble

By David Shannon

I read this to my reading buddy, Fiona. She loved it! I like to. Basically, David gets in trouble, then tells a lie, though sometimes he's telling the truth. And at the end of the book, he admits he did it.

Someday Dancer

Someday Dancer

By Sarah Rubin

This has been a really good book. I am really clumsy and I would be awful at dancing, but I still really enjoyed it. I recommend this book to dancers, and also people who don't dance, like myself. Enjoy this captivating book!

Artemis Fowl The Atlantis Complex

Artemis Fowl The Atlantis Complex

By Eoin Colfer

"Artemis Fowl has lost his mind, just when the world needs him most." Artemis Fowl has become a do-gooder, or, rather, everyone thinks he has. Coming out with his newest project- "Saving the World"- his fairy friends notice some strange behavior in Artemis. His symptoms reflect on Atlantis Complex, a mental psychosis affected only to guilt-ridden fairies, until now. Artemis' symptoms include extreme obsessive compulsive disorder, paranoia, multiple personality disorder, and, in his extreme case, humiliating love-filled confessions to eight-year former nemesis, now ally Captain Holly Short. But a dangerous foe from Holly's past is loose, and Artemis, (not his romantic-crazed second personality, Orion), is the only one able to stop him.

Even Principal Barkin has been altered by them- he is now pulling pranks. Soon, however, trouble arises in the for, of their enemy, Former Principal Bert Barkin, or their principals dad! He has become superintendent after the first one dies, and he wants his revenge on Miles and Niles for pantsing him.... And then, an even worse problem occurs. Turns out, what Miles and Niles said about staying in Yawnee Valley is true. But only for one of them. The Terrible Two have to pull off prank after prank and stunt after stunt to be remembered at YVSL Academy...before everything falls apart. This is such a funny and heartfelt book! 6 stars!!!!!!
