Small as an Elephant

Small as an Elephant

By Jennifer Richard Jacobson

Have you ever been on a long walk that never ends? Have you ever walked from Acadia national park to York Maine before? Well that happened to Jack in Small as an Elephant by Jennifer Richard Jacobson. Jack goes on a camping trip with his mother to Acadia National Park. He wakes up the next morning and his mother is gone. He didn't know what to do at first. But he went on a journey by himself. Some people knew and they tried to help him but he ran away by the time they tired to him.i really recommend this to children 10 and up. I think it is a really good book and it has a lot of sad moments and good moments, but over all it was a really good book I would give the book a five star rating.

A Good Day for Climbing Trees

A Good Day for Climbing Trees

By Jaco Jacobs

It was weird at first but more interesting when you got deeper into the book and another cool feature about it is that it had a very heart-touching meaning but in the end it was very funny.

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not

By Ellie Terry

This book is SO amazing. Every page is like a poem or a song. It’s so beautiful! I love books about people who are different races, orientations, with disabilities, etc. Calliope is a great protagonist. She is brave (like the poppy). She always can help others and knows when to do the right thing. She wishes she was different. I can relate to her personality, because I am kind and I help others, but I also feel bad about myself, and I’m not confident. If you read this book, you will definitely cry, laugh, and learn new things. Tourette’s syndrome is usually misjudged. People think people with Tourette’s are angry 24/7, curse 24/7, and hurt others physically and mentally. Calliope is the opposite of that. She is kind, funny, loving, and a great friend. Jingsong is a great sub-protagonist as well. He is caring, and he stands up for others. When others were teasing and bullying Calliope, he protected her and had a gut feeling that he needs to take action. I believe we all need to be like Jingsong,(of course, without the punching) and stand up for what is right. I definitely recommend this to everyone. The different character Arcs and perspectives are a great way to fill in details that the readers want to know more about. I love the verse writing so much for Calliope, and Jingsongs perspective are so detailed and many poem-esc vibes are in the text. I want this author to write a sequel or another book like this. Thank you so much!

Maximum Ride Forever

Maximum Ride Forever

By James Patterson

I would love to be able to fly! My favourite characters are Angel, Max, and then little baby Phoenix at the end. The flock are awesome. I think James Patterson is a great author and I want to be like him when I grow up. Angels powers are my favourite by far. Imagine being able to read minds!πŸ•Š

Fake (Point Paperbacks)

Fake (Point Paperbacks)

By Donna Cooner

This book is very awesomely good, because especially for people who feel alone, or fat, or just not yourself, there is another person you can share your feelings with somebody you meet in this book. That is why you should read this book, and is not just about that...

Momotaro Xander and the Lost Island of Monsters

Momotaro Xander and the Lost Island of Monsters

By Margaret Dilloway

Xander Miyamoto usually spends his time drawing comics while his sixth grade teacher lectures about world problems, and creating computer programs at home. He likes nothing better than when the dismissal bell rings, and get away from bullies like Lovey who won't leave him alone for being half Asian. At the start of Spring Break, Xander and his best friend Peyton are playing computer games when Xander's father interrupts and gives them a comic book about a samurai warrior. But then when there's an earthquake, and a giant flood, the kids find out the comic is real. Xander and his family are part of an ancient line dedicated to protecting the world. And when Xander's dad disappears in the flood, Xander's grandmother tells them of his legacy. So Xander and Peyton, along with Inu, Xander's dog, must set off on the adventure of a lifetime in order to save his father, and the rest of the world from unimaginable monsters and destruction. And Xander must do this while trying to figure out what his powers are, and if he really belongs in this adventure. I really liked in this book that a lot of Japanese culture is part of the story, and you learn a lot. I recommend this book to adventure book lovers. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Monster High

Monster High

By Lisi Harrison

From Lisi Harrison's amazing book genres comes Monster High Book 1 of 4 in the Monster High Series. This book comes with a fresh twist on High School, romance and the horrors of trying to fit in. The monster community has retained a low profile at the local high school. "I always want to encourage my students to be yourself, be unique, be a monster." Headless Headmistress Bloodgood. When two new ghouls enroll the town just can't be the same! Invented just fifteen days ago, Frankie Stein is psyched to trade her father's formaldehyde-smelling basement lab for parties and prom, but with the Student Body totally freaked out with the rumors of monsters stalking the hallways, Frankie learns that Monster High can be coarse for a ghoul freak like her. She believes she finds friendship in the fellow new student Melody Carver. But can a normie like Melody be trusted with Frankie's jaw-dropping secret? I rate Monster High Book 1 of 4 in the Monster High Series 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 For it's ghoulicious plot twists, friendship, amazing main message and secretive fun! I couldn't put it down till' the end! I recommend this book for children under 10. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5 Stars Great job Lisi Harrison! You're at it again with another great book!
