Escape from the Island of Aquarius (The Cooper Kids Adventure Series #2)
By Frank E. Peretti
I love candle! It is too bad no one understood him from the beginning, there would have been so much saved time.
Glass Sword (Red Queen)
By Victoria Aveyard
To my disappointment, Glass Sword did not live up to my expectations at all. Its predecessor, Red Queen, was enthralling and left my vying for more, but this is not the sequel for me. First of all, most of the beginning and middle of the book consists of Mare wrangling with her emotions. She doesn't do much except for think about things like "Oh, I wonder how Cal's shaping up," and "How do I betray Maven," even though she literally does nothing half of the time. Also, as Mare and the other Reds venture through the kingdom, the book has a knack of going into long descriptions about their surroundings - which might seem essential, but it's a real drag. Most of the time, Mare is indecisive, reckless, and completely over her head. It makes me really uncomfortable even to read the story from her perspective. And the ending could rival even that of the first book, but by that time, it was too late; I was bored out of my mind. It took a lot out of me even to make it to the end, so dreadful was the writing. All in all, if you want to read about a protagonist stuck in her head most of the time, barely any humor, rather badly-developed characters (Kilorn was the worst; reading his character pained me physically), and you don't mind slow-paced writing, then go ahead and read this. But Glass Sword personally disappointed me and eradicated any prospects of reading King's Cage. Victoria, I love you, but you've plateaued!
King's Cage (Red Queen)
By Victoria Aveyard
This book is apart of the Red Queen series. Mare Barrow sacrificed herself so Cal and Kilorn could escape. Maven has taken her as his prisoner. Mare now has to play a role she is not again, and she has to place blame on the Scarlet Guard. However, she is determined to escape this cage. Overall, I enjoyed this book although the plot tended to be slow at times. You may as well read this if you are interested in knowing what happens by the end of the series. I recommend this book to people who are interested in dystopian novels, or people who are interested in The Selection series. I rate this 5/5.
Red Cell

I have very mixed feelings on this book if I'm being honest. This book caught my attention almost instantly, the writing was amazing, it flew really well and all of the such... till the end. By the end of this book, though it was still amazing writing, it slowly became more predictable yet harder to follow. I'd recommend this book for sports fans too, I had a hard time following some of the terms and understanding the piece more because I don't pay attention to baseball and this book is largely focused around the Cubs. 4/5 overall, great read :)
The Last Kids on Earth (2 Book Series)
By Max Brallier
This book is great for people who look for adventure and action
The Host
By Stephenie Meyer
I thought this was a great book about true friendship, love and courage. A lot of people are quite prejudice about Stephanie Meyer because they don't like the twilight films. personally I think her writing is very good. If you like romantic stories with a bit of action in it I would recommend this book
Back to School, Mallory (Mallory, No. 2)

The Berlin Boxing Club
By Robert Sharenow
This is a great book! I picked it up in my classroom library mainly because I'm Jewish and wanted to learn about my past. It can be sad and dark at times so if you are someone who likes sunshiney books this one may not be for you. There are lots of plot twists making the book impossible to put down! Please read this if you want to learn more about the holocaust or are just looking for a good book.
