Judy Moody
By Megan McDonald
So starting any grade is hard, the first day and you look around and everyone got the text except for you on what to wear, what backpack to have and which shoes are in. This is Judy's first day of third grade and she is not going to let it bum her out, but it does. There are many chapters that make you laugh. My favorite part would be when Judy gets a Venus flytrap that she named Jaws. I read this book in two days and didn't want to stop reading it.

Michael Vey: Rise of the Elgen (Book 2)
By Richard Paul Evans
"My name is Michael Vey, and I'm more electric then an electric eel. I always thought I was the only one like me, but I'm not. I just found out that there were originally seventeen of us. And the people who made us this way, the Elgen, are hunting us down. You might say we were an accident. The Elgen corporation created a machine called the MEI (short for Magnetic Electron Induction), to be used for finding diseases and abnormalities in the body. Instead it created abnormalities us." My book is called "Michael Vey Rise Of The Elgen". It was written by Richard Paul Evans. The passage I chose was " I cupped my hands together, I was making a snowball, and pulsed. To my surprise a ball of electric formed almost like a soup bubble, except with more weight, like a Ping-Pong ball." I chose this passage because I was surprised he could do that. A connection is that I have talents too. If you want a book with action this is your book. This is a five star book. I recommend this book and the first one.
Liesl & Po
By Lauren Oliver
Surprisingly, Liesl & Po was one of the best non-horror books I ever read. I normally go for horror, science fiction, or future fiction books, but this one caught my eye. It was very emotional in some parts and I even found myself feeling pity for Will (an alchemist's apprentice). I recommend this book for those who like touching stories about friendship and adventures. Enjoy if you decide to read :)
Michael Vey 4: Hunt for Jade Dragon
By Richard Paul Evans
Michael Vey: Hunt for Jade Dragon is the fourth book in the Michael Vey series. The book stars a boy named Michael and his friends, a group called the Electroclan. Most of the Electroclan are electric; the kids have electric powers that vary from person to person. There are 13 electric children. However, they are hunted by the Elgen, the corporation who made them electric, and have some of the electric children on their side. The Elgen recently kidnapped a autistic genius named The Jade Dragon who has the formula for creating more electric children. The Electroclan will have to travel to Taiwan to rescue the Jade Dragon and stop the Elgen from creating more of them. This book is the best in the series so far, as it is humorous at the right times, while being sad when it needs to. I recommend this book to any middle schooler that read the first 3 books and enjoyed them. This book gets a 4 out of 5 from me as it is a good book.
Campfire Mallory
By Laurie B Friedman
I read this a while ago, and it's one of my favorites of the Mallory McDonald series.
From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess: Meg Cabot; Read by Kathleen McInerney

She wonders why if they let her cousins play on them. Olivia's best friend suggests they are thieves. But something totally not average happens at school one day- The most popular girl in the school, Annabelle Jenkins, who Olivia thought was her friend, threatens to beat her up. She gets a demerit. She gets knocked down on the bus stop. But the thing that really surprised her was when that all was happening, an angel came to save her. Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia pulls up in her limbo and asks Olivia to go to a place of her destination. Of course, New York City to meet her Father!
