The Kite Runner: Young Adult Edition
By Khaled Hosseini
The Kite Runner was a gripping and emotional story of betrayal and redemption, and the story had certainly thrilled and moved me at the same time. The author Khaled Hosseini told a story of Amir who struggled to find his place in the world because of the aftereffects and fallout from a series of traumatic childhood events. When reading the novel, I was introduced to a world of Afghan life, which I found very fascinating and interesting. When reading The Kite Runner, I found myself always thinking the author was actually reflecting and writing about his own life and experiences throughout his fiction story. I learned lots of lessons from reading The Kite Runner, and it truly was a very meaningful story. Throughout the actions, dialogs, and relationships of the characters, I read ideas on forgiveness and love. The most successful part of the book was that it had a great sense of fate and justice, and Amir had overcome evil in the end, despite all odds.

The Color of Silence
By Liane Shaw
This book is now one of my favorites. At first I was just looking for a book, and this was the first one I found. But then I started reading it. At first I wasn't that into it, but as the book went on, it got better and better. It was a very good book to read in the summer, and a great book overall.
Happy Birthday Mr. Kang
By Susan Roth
This book is so cool i think you sould read it so here is one of my little all about. In this family story set in New York's Chinatown, Mr. Kang and his grandson Sam set their caged bird free and learn that choosing one's own cage is a form of freedom. At his 70th birthday party, Mr. Kang announces that he's retiring from 43 years as a restaurant cook. He has three wishes for his retirement: to have a Hua Mei, a type of bird that Chinese men traditionally keep as pets; to paint poems
Un Ricon Del Universo / a Corner of the Universe
By Ann M. Martin
I think the book is worth reading. I like the way that author describe all the characters' thinking and feeling. Sometimes it makes me feel like I am in that situation. One of the reasons I love this book is because this book is about family, and I think the main character is kind of like me. She usually has a lot of ideas or thinking in her mind, but she never tell anyone. This book is soooo good. I love it.
