Sheila Rae the brave by Kevin Henkes is a very funny story. Sheila Ray is brave. Louise is a scaredy cat. This book is funny because Sheila Rae thinks she is the most brave girl in the world but she is not. Sheila Rae is brave because she broke off the branches of trees as they were monsters.Louise is a scaredy cat while Sheila Rae was breaking off branches Louise was just walking quietly. The author's message in this story is it is alright to be scared. Read this book to find out how Sheila ray gets home.

This book is a great, fun, awesome book! I enjoyed it very much and I can't wait to read the forth one! I strongly recommend this book, and am following the author for their upcoming books.

The Here and Now is a truly epic, fascinating book. In this story, the Earth has been invaded by terrible diseases and natural disasters, so people used their advanced technology of time travel to go back to the past, where none of these tragedies started. Those who came back cannot tell anyone their identity and follow a set of rules to prevent causing any panic for the present people. Prenna is one of them to travel from the future, she always follows the rules and understands the consequences if she doesn't. However, recently, she starts to discover more secrets about her community and family. Prenna needs to solve this mystery and save the world, but can she proceed without hurting anyone including her love Ethan? I think this book is exciting and thrilling. There are many unexpected plot twists and all the actions are described well. It also gives the readers a lot of space for imagination. Time traveling is a pretty popular and common topic, but the way it's used in The Here and Now is creative and fun.

Georges (the s is silent) has just moved into an apartment from a house where he has a nice bedroom. His dad got laid off, so they needed to downsize and they are just getting used to things. At that time, Georges goes into the room with the sign on the door and meets two quirky kids; Candy and Safer. Safer is the head of the club, and Georges is given an assignment; to find out what Mr. X. is up to. Mr. X. is the man who lives above Georges and wears black every day. He doesn’t talk to anyone and carries around two big suitcases. A story of friendship and spying, Liar & Spy follows Georges and Safer on their dangerous mission to find what Mr. X. is hiding. Great for fans of When You Reach Me, Rebecca Stead’s latest book is a must-read. My thoughts: Liar And Spy was a really special read. Rebecca Stead pens books with such character; they have the same vibe and you can tell it is her writing. She throws that unexpected curveball at you,and you never know what is going to happen next. I love how it keeps you guessing-I am always so proud of myself when I guess correctly. Well, I can tell you one thing; I DID NOT guess correctly on this book. It was so unexpected that I almost dropped the book. I woke up my cat by whisper-shouting “WHAT?!?!” I love her style of writing. I also loved the cover: I was really sad to find out (literally five minuted ago) that Yan Nascimbene (cover illustrator) had passed away this year. The cover and the author made me check it out of the library, and I only read the blurb right before I read the book. I loved how the characters Safer and Candy had such personality; they were really fun and unique. If you are a big Rebecca Stead fan, read Liar & Spy!

I really enjoyed reading this book because of the suspense and adventure. An example of suspense is when Grandpa Mennym is thinking all day, then calls a conference but nobody knows what the conference is about. An example of adventure is when Soobie goes out in the rain to find his sister Appleby. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.
