This is an intriguing story about a girl whose mother has cancer and whose father is no longer around. Lizzie often spends summers with her favorite uncle in his cabin in a wooded area of Pennsylvania, and it's here she chooses to stay while her mother undergoes treatment. What begins as a typical summer, soon takes an unexpected turn. A local prison break, the kidnapping of a friend, and Lizzie's desire to help lead to mistakes with dire consequences and questioned loyalties.

This was a awesome book! FULL of imagination, suspense, action, humor, horror, and adventure. Way to go Catherine Jinks. Great authors come great books.:)

why i decided to read this book is i read the back and i love scary story's and mystery's so i gave this book a chance and it turned out that i love it but make sure to read the series i am now on scardy kat i highly recomend this book and the series thank you

No 8 I wished I saw this ten years ago to read with because I'm 20 years old!!!

Past- 11 years ago ago a weponized virus called RM wiped out tens of thousands and only a fraction of humanity is immune, survived North America are now huddled in Long Island... Now- If tens of thousands of people dying isn't bad enough no baby has been born immune to the virus in 11 years, humanity's time is running out... 16 year old Kira is a medic-in-training -who was only 5 when RM hit- is right in the middle of this kind of world, where laws are placed for mandatory pregnancy laws, that have pushed what's left of humanity close to war. Kira will not stand by and watch more babies die, will the help of her boyfriend Marcus and her friends set out on a dangerous trek to save humanity...even if no one is on there side. so it was about all mothers help each other .and their very pretty

By far the best book that I have ever read. It was an emotional rollar coaster. I was over joyed, sad, and angered all at the same time. The way this book is written, it feels like your are actually in the book. I will never find a book that compares to this one. Well done Lisa Ann Sandell

This book is really good, it is based in the future mostly in California. It is 2053 and petty much everyone has died from this virus.
