The Girl in the Tower

The Girl in the Tower

By Lisa Schroeder

All her whole life, all Violet could remember, she and her mother have been locked away in a tower by evil Queen Bogdana (or is she NOT a queen?). She even has the whole kingdom under her spell! The so-called queen has everything she wants, except one thing she desperately wants, beauty. Violet possesses the beauty she wants. When Violet is summoned by Queen Bogdana to start training to become a real princess, it seemes like her life might become better, but hope quickly fades when Violet's mother is banished from the castle, and she and Violet are forbidden to see each other again. Now it is up to Violet to reunite her family and give them a happy ending, but first she must break the evil fake queen's spell. I love this book! It is one of my favorite books all time! I love how the story has an interesting plot that is similar to the fairy tale of Rapunzel, but with a different twist. I definitly would recommend this book for anyone who likes fairy tales or the Whatever After series.

The Pages Between Us

The Pages Between Us

By Lindsey Leavitt, Robin Mellom

This book is about two best friends, Olivia and Piper. As they navigate new waters (middle school), they pass a notebook back and forth to talk. But what if they have an argument? And I don’t mean a tiny disagreement, I mean a miniature war. Read the book for more!

Copper Sun

Copper Sun

By Sharon M. Draper

Copper Sun is one of my favorite novels. From the story line to the character building. You feel what the characters feel. I also really enjoy how it has two points of view. The indentured servant and the slave. It is a sad realization of history and humanity. But i highly recommend it.

The Green Book

The Green Book

By Jill Paton Walsh

Pattie, her family, and a few others are the last to leave Earth just before the great disaster. On the new planet, called Shine, they struggle to survive as supplies dwindle, time runs out, and danger lurks among them. Pattie and her friends explore the planet and discover many interesting things that may prove useful for them. I would recommend this for ages 9+ this book reminds me that a day will come when Earth will not be able to support life, because of us. I am sad of all the polluting and everything. I hope this book can inspire everybody to conserve and save the Earth.

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

By Matthew Quick

A good read for middle and high school students. It gives a very good insight in the mind of a high school student on his thoughts and imagination. Please read the preface or summary beforehand.

Mitch and Amy

Mitch and Amy

By Beverly Cleary

This book is about a twin brother and sister named mitch and amy who both have a bully thats name is alan hibler... this book is for ages 6-7 and up. it is a book that could happen but it did not really happen. the main idea is that the good guy always wins always no matter what happens. i did not like the character alan hibler because he is the bully. if i were the author i would end the book differently, I would end it by mitch and amy talking when Mitch stops running. i also recommend this book because of how good it is and a also give it 5 big stars. it was a fun book to read. i hope you also like it. enjoy! p.s this book is also for kids who like books that are books that could happen but it did not really happen and my favorite part is win alan hibiler (the bully) gets spoken up to stop being a bully. the part that i did not like the most (that was very boring) is when mitchel has trouble reading. this book is one of my favorite books and i hope you like it. enjoy!
