You Don't Even Know Me: Stories and Poems About Boys

You Don't Even Know Me: Stories and Poems About Boys

By Sharon Flake

The reason I chose to read this book is because it talks of real life situations that could happen. This book is written by urban males and written from their point of view. One of my favorite stories is about a male named Tow-Kay, getting married at the age of 16 to the love of his life, she is pregnant . After he gets married he starts to freak out and ruins the day. find as if this book brings real life "could happen" situations.

Tom Gates: Absolutely Fantastic (at Some Things)

Tom Gates: Absolutely Fantastic (at Some Things)

By L Pichon

Tom Gates is a boy who hated his teachers, Mr. Fullerman in particular. This book don't really have a main plot, but most of the book is about Tom talking about how awesome the school trip will be. Marcus and Tom are like enemies, Tom hated Marcus and Macus hated Tom. Tom's sister is called Delia and she is being really mean to Tom. My favorite part of the book is when Tom doodles of Mr. Fullerman in class. The drawings are hilarious. I really like the book it is funny and the font of this book makes you think that you are reading someones journal. I recommend this series to people who liked the Diary of a Wimpy series. It is very similar to it.

The Dance in the Dark (Scarlet and Ivy)

By Sophie Cleverly

I enjoyed reading this book so far because each chapter, the story is of Scarlet's or Ivy's point of view so you can see what and how the story is different for both of the sisters. Also, great cliffhangers which makes me want to read more. - Amelia27Roze : p

Let it Snow

Let it Snow

By GREEN JOHNSON MY

Part of this book is written by one of my favorite authors, John Green. I have read most of his books from Looking For Alaska to An Abundance of Katherines, but I have to say that this book is the best. First of all, it sets a cheerful holiday spirit, which I really like, but then the holidays quickly turn into a disaster after a girl's parents are arrested. The girl decides to do something that will change the lives of several people forever. There are three stories in total. What I liked about the first one is how the protagonist keeps underestimating herself like most of us do, and she pities herself (which most of us also do at times.) For the second one, I really enjoyed the way the protagonist narrates the story, and how he's so blind about his best friend having a crush on him. The third one was a final conclusion to the story, which is how everything ends on a good note on the holidays. Personally, I think it's brilliant how these stories entwine and connect, this style is kind of like the one used in Will Grayson, Will Grayson. I totally recommend this book if you love Will Grayson, Will Grayson!!!!

My Father's Dragon

Lock and Key

Lock and Key

By Sarah Dessen

I read this book a while ago, but I'm thinking of rereading it, as I'm running out of books, but I think this book really appeals to older romance fans. I'm not sure it would be quite appropriate for the younger audience, but that's why it's in the teen section right? It has parts that are very cliché, but most is unique and heartfelt. I probably cried. I don't remember, but I think I did... It's pretty likely. I usually end up crying over Sarah Dessen's books. They really are very well written.
