P.K. Pinkerton and the Case of the Deadly Desperados

P.K. Pinkerton and the Case of the Deadly Desperados

By Caroline Lawrence

I'm impressed by Caroline Lawrence's ability to cut to the quick in this book. She treats adult themes in such a way that kids feel they are a part of the history they are reading. P.K. is a boy with Aspberger's who gets more adventure out of one day in a Western town than most of us would incur in ten years of travel. The book is exciting, page-turning, chilling, and quite amusing.
