Anyone who has been annoyed by the things that their parents say or do will relate to this book. This is the story of a teenage girl coming to understand and appreciate her own mother and her own culture during an important time in American history. Makes for good companion books to My Crazy Summer and Wednesday Wars in that it is another perspective of social movements in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. All three books speak of different movements from the perspective of three unique main characters.

This book is amazing! It will make you cry just like in Chancey of the Maury River.

It was a great mystery book.

Lucy is an obedient and cheerful girl most of the time. Her cousin is helpful and watches out for her in bad situations. When they are at the boat landing, they met Sadie Rose, who was a tavern singer and who is looking for her long lost brother. A piece of cloth could be the clue to finding Sadie's brother. Could Lucy and Ben help Sadie Rose? Read the book to find out for yourself.

Its an awesome book, takes place in Puerto Rico.
