What the Moon Said

What the Moon Said

By Gayle Rosengren

Leia Kadlec

I Love this Book. If your in 6th grade I'm sure you'll agree with me. Its characters are fun, the story is surprisingly suspenseful while also being predictable, and you can easily relate with going on. Ester is a ton of fun and you really feel sorry for her when bad things happen. If you like historical fictions that aren't all exciting but still leave you knowing more about the time as well as the story then you'll enjoy this story. I highly recommend it.

The Greetings from Somewhere Collection: Mysteries Around the World: The Mystery of the Gold Coin; The Mystery of the Mosaic; The Mystery of the Stolen Painting; The Mystery in the Forbidden City

By Harper Paris, Marcos Calo

I read all the books in the series about 10 times. They were absolutely the best. This book series by Harper Paris is about twins Ella and Ethan. there mom just got a job. her job is to travel the world and right a column called journeys with Jo. so that means Ella and Ethan have to go with her and there dad. The twins are sad to leave there friends and especially grandpa Harry. You should totally read this book series if you love mystery's. because everywhere they go they solve a mystery.

Liberty Porter, First Daughter

Liberty Porter, First Daughter

By Julia DeVillers

in the book liberty porter first daughter. liberty is the mane charterer and her dad is becoming president. when she moves into the white house she causes a lot of trouble. but her parents forgive her you will have to read the book to see what happens next. in the book i learned that it is hard to be the presidents daughter because there are photographers every were and you have to stand still and you cant be silly and every one would see that picture. another example is you have to sit throw a bunch of speeches. my favorite part is when liberty invites all the kids that were on a field trip and she invited them up to her room and they had a stuffed animal fight and it made her room a big mess and chief the person who took care of her said she would be in big trouble but her parents forgave her. i recommend this book to 9 or 10 year old's who like books about realistic fiction

Yellow Star

Yellow Star

By Jennifer Roy

This book is a must-read for people who love history and learning about the Holocaust and World War II. I've read Yellow Star three times and the book becomes even better each time I read it! The book talks about the Holocaust in a more meaningful way by telling a story about a true Holocaust survivor instead of stating endless amounts of facts and statistics. This book is a must-read!

The Circuit

The Circuit

By Francisco Jiménez

PantherTeacher

The Circuit by Francisco Jimenez is one of the most inspiring books that I have ever read about the life of an immigrant family and their struggle to make a better life for themselves. The story begins when the family catches a train headed for La Frontera. They cross the border in California to find work and a better life. When they arrive they realize that things in the U.S. aren’t as easy as they’d imagined. Eventually the family finds work and Panchito, the main character, is allowed to go to school for the first time. At school Panchito is challenged because he is unable to speak English. This makes it difficult for him to understand his teacher and classmates. Things get better for him when he begins to make a few friends. One of my favorite quotes from the Circuit is when the family is praying for their littlest member to survive a terrible sickness and Mama says, “The doctor said it would take a miracle for him to live. I didn’t want to believe him, but he was right. It took a miracle.” I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in stories about adventure and adversity. The Jimenez family find that they can make it through some of the most difficult times if they stick together and love one another. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!! What makes it even better is that it is the first book in a wonderful trilogy.

Long Shot: Mike Lupica's Comeback Kids (Comeback Kids Series)

By Mike Lupica

Braden

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sports. This book is a good mix between drama and sports. It talks about basketball while really that is not the main idea. It also changes some of the characters and keeps some the same. Those are the reasons I would recommend this book.
