I pulled this book off my younger brother's shelf one evening, because I wanted to try to convince him to read something this summer. Before I knew it, I'm up til 3 in the morning, just devouring chapter after chapter. It's such an easy read (4-6th grade), the illustrations are very well drawn and there are just enough of them throughout the book. I really enjoyed the fast-paced story line; following the main character on this insane "adventure" you can call it, where he ran from the cops, the FBI librarians, found hidden passages and uncovered the city's mystery to save the United States of America's secrets hidden in a quilt. What a read! Sometimes, it's really refreshing to go back and read those simple books where it's the action and little details that matter most rather than the vocabulary or huge character development.

It's fine to go for a nother adventure!today is the revolutionary war .in this book they meet George Washington and he thinks that they r spies .and a lot of crazy things happen .also in one part Annie and Jack r bidding behind a lot and there are people behind a fire a Annie and Jack watch them then those people think they r spies but they turned out to be nice.I recommend this book to all ages but I think 8 year olds will probably like it the most I rate this book 3/5 stars 😁 😁 Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

Today they walk out of the house and there mom says to be back soon but cause there gramma is coming g and they say they will be right back .this would its they r going to the Indian times (I guess u would call it .I'm not sure ) and they meet this guy named black hawk and he is really nice and shows them around and shows them a heads of buffalos .a lot of fun/crazy things happen .I recommend this book to 8 year olds and I rate this book 3/5 stars 😁 😁 Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

This time they go the the Olympic times and while they r there they meet a guy at a Olympic game that they wanted to watch and they realized that girls can't watch the Olympic games!so that means Annie has to stay behind while Jack watches the game with this guy he met .a lot of exciting things happen in the book but you'll have to read it all to figure it out😏 I recommend this book to 8 and 9 year olds and I rate this book 3/5 stars 😁 😁 Pizzagirl7 😁 😁

So I got this book when I was in 2nd grade and when I read this again, I felt too old for it. But I would recommend this for ages 7+ and for horse lovers. The pace skidded too much but the perception was detailed very well.

I love all of Beverly Cleary's books, so it is no surprise that I really enjoyed this one. A fun story for readers of all ages. Especially loved the unique characters, plot, and illustration. Will definitely put a smile on your face while reading it.
