YO-KAI WATCH, Vol. 1
By Noriyuki Konishi
Yo-Kai Watch is the best graphic novel ever! I'm currently on Chapter 3, where Wazzat is introduced. But I lent my copy of Yo-Kai Watch to my friend, who also likes Yo-Kai Watch. On the game, Wazzat makes you forget things. I feel like I'm inspirited by Wazzat all the time. I can't wait to read Chapter 3, as soon as my friend gives my copy back. I also watch the TV show of Yo-Kai Watch. I love it! I really don't know how I got into it, anyway, but I just saw it on TV, so I thought it was kinda like Pokemon. And I love Pokemon, so I figured, "If this "Yo-Kai Watch" is like Pokemon, and I like Pokemon, so why not take a chance?" My favorite Yo-Kai are Baddinyan, Roughraff, Frostina, and Blizzardia. Baddinyan is made when you fuse Roughraff and Jibanyan together. All you have to do is go and see Mr. Zen in Blossom Heights. But you have to complete a certain quest or something to be able to fuse. Roughraff can evolve into Baddude, a bigger, tougher version of Roughraff. Frostina, who you may know by name if you went into Downtown Springdale. There's an alley behind a minor shop named Frostina's Place Back Alleyway. Blizzardia, I've never actually seen before, I know her from off the Internet. I really want to catch her. Not to change the subject, but if you guys can't catch Komajiro inside the Old Mansion, you can try your luck in the Crank-a-Kai. Just go up to Mount Wildwood, until you reach the temple. Then you'll have a fork in the road. There's a pond and a statue(spread apart, one's on the left, the other's on the right) near the entrance. Take the path with the pond at the front and keep going straight through. If you have just started the game, you won't be albe to use the Crank-a-Kai yet. But if you are not at the beginning, go all the way to the Sacred Tree. The Crank-a-Kai will be there, if you haven't used it already. Use a few coins, and that's what strategy I used to get Komajiro. There's a little tip for you guys, too. BYE FOR NOW!
Colibri
By Ann Cameron
Colibri, by Ann Cameron, is a heart-wrenching story of a young 12 girl who is kidnapped from her parents and then forced to travel with a thieving, cruel, cold-hearted man she must call “Uncle.” Set in modern day Guatemala in the aftermath of the Civil War, ‘Uncle” and “Rosa” travel throughout the country begging and stealing, never staying in one village very long. “Rosa” does not know who her parents are, or how to find them, since she was only 4 years old when she was taken from them. She does remember the loving nickname her mother gave to her, “Colibri,” “hummingbird” in Spanish, a beautiful symbol of fearlessness and strength. In one village, Colibri meets a wise old woman who changes her life. The woman helps Colibri see she is living with a “divided heart” and must choose who to love and trust and how to find a better place in the world. Colibri must find her voice and face her greatest fears without letting them completely engulf her. I really loved this book, but it made me so sad to learn about another girl’s suffering and fears. And yet I was inspired by her determination and strength.

30 Days of No Gossip
By Stephanie Faris
I haven't read it, and I probably never will. It's the ultimate girl book. It has all the things I hate in books. I hate books about gossip, I hate books about crushes (I'm not sure if it's about crushes, but it definitely has crushes in it), and I hate books about girls. But I might read to confirm the fact I don't like it.
Muddy Max: The Mystery of Marsh Creek
By Elizabeth Rusch
So.. Awesome! Hope they come out with another one! There's a kid named Max, and his parents don't want him to have anything to do with mud. But one day, he got in the mud, and when he got completely covered, he became invisible! so cool, right?! He has a friend... (the dude to the right on the cover) and he told him about it. The mud gave Max strength, but it was super hard to wash off. Later, he found out he had a brother, but he didn't know where he was. So he went to a muddy marsh with his friend, and they found Max's brother. Soon enough, Max's parents told him, that his brother got stuck, and they couldn't get him out. He had been in that marsh for years. So for safety reasons, they moved far away from the marsh, but Max escaped and got away. He figured out how to get his brother out, by blasting him with dirt, to blast off the mud. After that, they both actually got to see each other without involving mud. Max wants to go on adventures with his brother, but his brother isn't planning on going near mud ever again. I can't wait until the next book comes out!

The Land of Forgotten Girls
By Erin Entrada Kelly
Soledad “Sol” Madrid has gotten through twelve whole years of her life using imagination. Sometimes she imagines herself in a rocket ship, or living in a gigantic mansion, or inside a fairy tale. But none of that is actually true for her. In reality, her mother and one of her sisters are dead, and she lives with her stepmother because her father went to the Philippines a few years ago. He hasn’t come back, and Sol often dreams of running away from their home in Louisiana with her younger sister Ming. But when Ming starts to believe a story Sol told her, about their make-believe aunt who lives in the jungle, everything gets messed up. How will Sol convince her sister to believe the truth? Read this book to find out! Once again, author Erin Entrada Kelly creates a heartfelt, witty, and creative novel that readers will love. The Land of Forgotten Girls is an unforgettable book, and I rate it 4/5 stars.
