Rick Riordan’s The Throne of Fire is a fantasy story and the 2nd book in a three book series. The Throne of Fire is about two siblings Sadie and CArter who live in the 21st nome in New York City are now on a quest to awaken the sun god Ra to stop the chaos snake Apophis from rising and devouring the world in chaos, but they must first find the three parts of the Book of Ra, and deal with Gods, Monsters and Magicians trying to stop them, So the siblings travel with the dwarf god Bes to gather the pieces of the book of Ra and travel through the river of night in the duat and awaken Ra who ends up being old and weak, then Apophis rises and a battle ensues. The book focuses on Egyptian mythology. The book was very exciting to read and had very fun and interesting characters. I would definitely recommend the series to a friend, the first person view from two people was really nice, and I could read about what Sadie and Carter are thinking. The book had some exciting plot points and battles. I gave this book a 4.5 star rating. The story of the book was fun and exciting. I liked this book very much.

This book is good because it is about a big tree and it gets in the way of life, but the wood cutter makes it better! There is also a MHE edition if you ever heard of MHE stories!!!! I loved this book so much it has so many facts in it that I did not even know and it says little kids!I think this is a great book for all ages.one of the really good facts are did you know that frozen water is lighter than water ,that's why ice cubes float!also it answers questions like any does popcorn pop! I wanted to read this book because I thought it would be a really fun book to read. I also thought that it looked short and quick.

What a magical story that I think kids will really enjoy! I have read many children's books that are centered around the number 3 and basic retellings of classic fairy tales. Carolyn seems to be doing just that by pulling in elements from stories like Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs, and maybe others that I'm just not recognizing! I really enjoyed reading this book! I especially loved the part where the lizards were meant to help Calix by competing in an eating contest! I’m sure kids will get a kick out of it. I won't give away too many details for others who would like to read it, but I hope others see the value in this story too. It can be a great teaching tool for kids, like understanding patience and perseverance in a difficult situation. I also love that the author is doing this to encourage her own children to follow their dreams and teaching them that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds too.
