The Thing About Jellyfish

The Thing About Jellyfish

By Ali Benjamin

This book was AWESOME I've read it two times and I couldn't get ENOUGH of it! The story is about a girl named Suzy Swanson, who really has a natural love for animals, science, and math. Her best friend, Franny, loved learning new things with Suzy until they reached middle school age. Franny decides she wants to hang out with girlier girls, and wants nothing to do with Suzy anymore unless she tries to be a "normal girl" like her. Suzy is insulted by this because she thought Franny was her friend, so she plans what she calls a "sign" to wake her friend up before she becomes like the other popular girls. Unfortunately, this revenge does not go over well and when Franny dies in a tragic accident a few days later Suzy blames herself and stops talking out loud. She then gets a idea of how her friend died, and decides she has to prove it. Very well written book with encouraging life lessons. LOVED IT.

One Dog and His Boy

One Dog and His Boy

By Eva Ibbotson

Al Hal ever wanted was a dog but his spoiled and selfish mother won't let him. One day on his tenth birthday his father lets him get a dog from Easy Pets, a rent a dog agency [his parents keep this truth from him] a mongrel and a boy look into each others eyes and Hal knows that he has found his best friend for life. But when Hal goes to the dentist everything changed, their nanny [though she has a good heart for dogs] is sent to return the dog back to Easy Pets. Read more to find out! I recommend this book to ages 4 and 8! I liked the how even though his mother and father has done all the things, Hal still manages to forgive his parents! This turned into a happy ending for a boy and his dog.

Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons (Ologies)

By Dr. Ernest Drake

THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!! If you like dragons then you are in luck this book is just the thing for you! It’s AMAZING 😁 I had this book when I was little and it was always my absolute favorite! I never liked bedtime stories but rather read this book because of how much I absolutely loved dragons (and still do). I wish I knew where it was or if I even still had it, but if I get the money to buy another one I will definitely do so!

The Emperor's Code (The 39 Clues, Book 8)

The Emperor's Code (The 39 Clues, Book 8)

By Gordon Korman

Have you ever wanted to be a detective when you were younger? This book is exactly what you're looking for. This book has mysteries, clues, investigations and so many more things. There's even a card game about this book! This book series is called The 39 Clues to the Emperor's code. The author is Gordon Korman. This is the 8th book. The book focuses on the two main characters which are brother and sister. The brother and sister have many adventures going to ancient temples, ruins, caves and so many more! But that's not all they travel to many parts of the world that you might now even think of. During their adventures to places they meet great characters that might be seen in the future of the books. They also meet great villains or people that are against them. The story consists of physical and mental battles that you have never seen before. I think this book has a great story and really shows how a character feels. The book really explains different things very thoroughly so that it's a little easier to understand. But what this book can improve is the physical understanding. I said that the book very nicely explains things thoroughly, but I meant in explaining lets say an object and what it's able to do. On the other hand when something like a fight is happening they don't really explain enough details to know that this fight is a fight to be remembered. I think that for all the people that might like mysteries and adventures this is the one for you. If you love exploration this is also a perfect pick of something you might like because of how they go to different places. If you like action you might like this book a little less just because the intense moments are not the best moments. But overall I think this book is great but also something about this book is that I haven't read the first or anything after, so some things were confusing so although this is very interesting i highly recommend getting the first one or anything before.

Vespers Rising (The 39 Clues, Book 11)

Vespers Rising (The 39 Clues, Book 11)

By Rick Riordan, Peter Lerangis, Gordon Korman, Jude Watson

So the book was very interesting and it caught my attention because of its name. If it had another name I wouldn't choose it because 39 clues is an interesting name. And also in the back of the book it had a summary of the book which was interesting. (THE 39 CLUES) The book number is 39 because of the amount of series there are. And the author is Rick Ridordan, an American author. He is known for writing the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, about a teenager named Percy Jackson who discovers he is a son of the Greek god Poseidon. Riordan's books have been translated into forty-two languages and sold more than thirty million copies in the US. His books have spawned related media, such as graphic novels and short story collections. And also there are more authors like peter lerangis, gordon korman, and finally jude watson. The book is about a Fourteen-year-old Amy Cahill and her younger brother Dan who thought they could return to their regular lives when they found the 39 clues. But the Vespers, powerful enemies, will stop at nothing to get the clues. And with the Vespers rising, the world is in jeopardy. The book is good because it gives a lot of detail and fun. And it is important to read the book because it has a lot of facts for 12/13 year olds and the events in the story compared to real life are similar. I enjoyed reading the book because it is interesting and also has 238 pages and I finished reading it in 21 days. I recommend you to read it because it is a good book. The book 39 CLUES VESPERS RISING is a good option for people my age 12/13 years old because it has a good amount of pages and is interesting. Also, the language is simple for anyone to read without using a dictionary or google to search for difficult words. I recommend you to read it because it is very interesting.
