Kids Books - Animals

This is a great historical fiction book. It touches at the heart strings for the costs our service men, and even dogs, pay for their duties in the military. Read this book to learn how helpful dogs have been to the military.

I love animals, and I looked through this encyclopedia and learned lots. I did not buy it but i did take it out of both my school library and local library.

This looks like a sequel to A Tiger At Dinner. I love that book!

When Friendship Followed Me Home is the wonderful story of a boy named Ben, and his journey. One night, behind his library in the alleyway, Ben finds a starving puppy, trying to survive on its own. taking pity on the poor dog, Ben tries to take him home, but the dog doesn't seem to want to go. So, Ben starts walking home. But then, the little dog follows him! Ben lures him into his arms by leaving a trail of small cheese hunks. He takes it home with him. His mother agrees to keeping the dog, and they wash him, and clean him up. Ben, with the help of his new friend Halley, [yes, like the comet] decides to name the dog Flip. This is a wonderful book. It teaches children the important lesson of sharing. Although it can be difficult to share something special to you when you share with others it's bring you happiness from inside. A timeless book that teaches kids the importance of sharing while keeping their attention. The illustrations are beautiful as well.

A wonderful book with great rhymes!! It's a fun take on getting ready for the holidays. Mama is so busy getting everything and for baby llama it's just a bunch of drama. My daughter loves this book and finds the pictures and words to be hilarious. Yet anothe amazing book in the llama llama series! A perfect book for the winter holidays!
