The New York Times-bestselling series soars to even greater heights with a new prophecy and five new dragonets ready to claim their destiny!

Peace has come to Pyrrhia . . . for now.

The war between the tribes is finally over, and now the dragonets of the prophecy have a plan for lasting peace: Jade Mountain Academy, a school that will gather dragonets from all the tribes and teach them to live together, perhaps even as friends.

Moonwatcher isn’t sure how she feels about school, however. Hidden in the rainforest for most of her life, the young NightWing has an awful secret. She can read minds, and even see the future. Living in a cave with dozens of other dragons is noisy, exhausting--and dangerous.

In just a few days, Moon finds herself overwhelmed by her secret powers and bombarded by strange thoughts, including those of a mysterious dragon who might be a terrible enemy. And when someone starts attacking dragons within the academy, Moon has a choice to make: Stay hidden and safe? Or risk everything to save her new friends?

I love the Wings of Fire series and if you liked it and haven't read Warriors, I suggest you do.

I finish the first five books, about the five dragonets of prophecy ending a mighty war. After Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny help bring back peace, they decide to build a school at Jade Mountain, welcoming all tribes, so different dragons can have a chance to work and respect others. The book first starts off with a description of the new school and the "winglets." The winglets are groups of dragons attending the school. The winglets are Jade Winglet, Gold Winglet, Silver Winglet, Copper Winglet, and Quartz Winglet. Each winglet has seven dragonets in it, one from each tribe. The main character is a Nightwing called Moonwatcher. From the war, dragons now know Nightwings can't really read minds or see the future. However, Moonwatcher turns out to have those long-lost power. She thinks her ability is a curse, and fears that her winglets will find out her secret. But when someone starts attacking the dragons within the academy, Moon watcher has a choice to make: Stay hidden and be safe? Or risk everything to save her winglets and defeat the enemy? This book is such a great continuation of the dragon world. We meet a new group of dragons that we'll be following for the next few books. I really enjoyed my reading experience in this book, and love how this story is progressing. I am very excited to read the seventh book.

A great book. Had so much fun reading it and kept me so entertained for a long time. Awesome for fantasy lovers!

I agree with all the previous reviews. Moon Rising is an excellent book.

Like the others in this series Wings of fire is about a prophecy that turns out to be fake, With many challenges and new experiences almost every day!! Not to mention the dragons and scavengers trying to kill them...

Ive been reading the series and im only on the fourth book but i cant wait to read all the fasinating adventures to be had

The story is about a mother dragon that hid her egg in a forest away from other dragons. Soon, the baby dragon hatched and went to dragon school.
