It shows a lot of adventure and action. Very futuristic.

Specials is the third book in the Uglies series, and the most action packed. Tally has always dreaded the wolf like faces of Specials. How they are super humans. How they always stop her from living at the Smoke. Now she is a Special, and she must bring down the Smoke. Once and for all.

Tally has been turned into a Special, a specially engineered "police" for her city. She and her group of fellow Specials, The Cutters, must keep the Uglies in check, keep the Pretties "bubbly" and keep the remaining Smokies from spreading the cure. But when Tally is greeted by someone from her past, will she choose her super powers or the chance of a new world?

This is an amazing sequel to the Pretties. Tally has been turned into a Special, a specially (get it?) engineered "police force" for her city. Tally and her group of friends, The Cutters, must keep the Uglies in their place, keep the Pretties "bubbly", and keep the remaining Smokies from handing out the cure. But when Tally is faced with someone from her past, and the news of a possible war, what will she choose: her "special" powers and thoughts of superiority, or the chance of a new world?
