Josie always liked visiting her grandmother in the countryside. But when her mother loses her job in the city and they're forced to relocate along with Josie's sister, Annie, she realizes she doesn't like the country that much. Especially because Grandma Jeannie has some strange rules: Don't bring any dolls into the house. And never, ever go near the house in the woods behind their yard. Soon though, Josie manages to make friends with the most popular girl in the sixth grade, Vanessa. When Vanessa eventually invites Josie back to her house to hang out, Josie doesn't question it. Not even when Vanessa takes her into the woods, and down an old dirt road, toward the very house Grandma Jeannie had warned her about.
As Josie gets caught up in her illicit friendship with Vanessa, Annie is caught in the crossfire. What follows is a chilling tale of dark magic, friendship, and some verrrrrry creepy dolls.

I think the Collector has an amazing history behind it! I got really scared! I really encourage 4th grade and up to read this astonishing book! Of all characters my favorite is Beryl! I thank K.R. Alexander for writing this thrilling book!

The Collector is a very scary and fascionating book. I would recommend for you to read this book. I would give this book a 5 star rating because its so good and scary. I would not recommend for 3rd graders or younger read this very scary book.

I think people should read this book if they like scary things. There are some parts in "The Collector" that will give you goosebumps. The girls in the book had to follow the rules and not go into the woods. There was woman that was after them.

The collector is a really creepy book.I think why K.R Alexander wrote this is to creep kids out when there living next to the woods.who knows if Beryl is living in the woods by your house

it's just an amazing book I reread it all the time and never get tired of it I cant wait to get the next book.

This is my favorite book of all time b/c I really like scary stuff like this book. There's a girl named Josie and her little sister, they move into the house with their grandmother. Their grandmother has creepy roles for the house though. 1. Never leave your windows open after dark. 2. No dolls in the house. 3. Never, ever go by the house in the woods. Josie always thought those rules were weird. Josie and her little sister go to school. Everybody make s fun of Josie but one day she makes a new friend named Vanessa. Everybody is afraid of Vanessa but Josie's not. Soon Josie and Vanessa figure out live next to each other. Vanessa's house is in the woods by Josie's grandmothers house. Josie and her little sister go to Vanessa's house and there are at least 100 dolls in the house. Vanessa gives Josie's little sister a doll and she takes it back to the house. They soon figure out that their grandmother is scared from Vanessa. But the grandmother is right Vanessa's mom and her are monster's who kidnap children and lock there souls into dolls. Will Josie and her little sister save the people who are stuck in dolls?

WARNING: THIS BOOK IS SCARY. It will give younger kids nightmares. And I live right next to the woods... is Beryl really living in the woods next to my house. THIS BOOK WILL SHOCK YOU.

The Collector written by K.R Alexander, and was published in 2018. This book is about a girl named Josie has to move from the city to the country and now lives with her grandma. Her grandma has some weird rules though; 1. Never leave your windows open after dark. 2. No dolls in the house. 3. Never go by the house in the woods. Josie is happy to find that her school is normal. She makes friends with a girl named Vanessa. When Vanessa askes Josie to hang out at her house, she doesn’t have a problem, but when Vanessa takes her into the woods, and toward the house her grandma had told her not to go…. What I love about this book is that it leaves a interesting cliffhanger that makes you want to read more. I also love that Josie and Anna have to go on tons of adventures throughout their lives, but they aren’t easy. The interest level for this book is for grades 4-7. I would this to recommend girls and boys that are into scary stories.
