A true story from Raina Telgemeier, the #1 New York
Times
bestselling, multiple Eisner Award-winning author of
Smile, Sisters,
Drama, and Ghosts!

Raina wakes up one night with a terrible upset stomach. Her mom has one, too, so it's probably just a bug. Raina eventually returns to school, where she's dealing with the usual highs and lows: friends, not-friends, and classmates who think the school year is just one long gross-out session. It soon becomes clear that Raina's tummy trouble isn't going away... and it coincides with her worries about food, school, and changing friendships. What's going on?

Raina Telgemeier once again brings us a thoughtful, charming, and funny true story about growing up and gathering the courage to face -- and conquer -- her fears.

I reeeeeeaaaaaallllllllyyyyyy LOVE this book

I love this book a lot!

Guts. Fifth grade is basically one long gross out contest. Raina wakes up one night with a stomach ache. So does her mom. It's probably just the stomach flu. But when Raina has to do a presentation, her upset stomach comes back, and she doesn't feel right. After having that happen several times, Raina's mom decides to put her in therapy. Raina at first hates it. But later on she realizes it helps her. Raina seems sad when her best friend Jane becomes friends with Michelle. Toward the end of the year, Michelle has to have Surgery, and Raina and her become friends.

I decided to read the book because of how the illistrator liilstrated the book and I loved the book because the main character talks about her feelings to a therapist and that she is scared of throwing up and she has to talk to a therapist about that.

I loved it but I think that girls under 9 should ask their parents first and talk to her mother and boys probably should not read it

I love reading this book but it has about of girl talk so probably girls should only read sisters and the girl should be around10-12 years old.😊

I love this book!

Guts. A true story about a young girl named Raina who's going through some middle school drama and mental health problems. This book is relatable, entertaining and you can find it easily in any school or local library. I really like the author, Raina Telgemeier. She makes the funniest and heartwarming graphic novels and their so interesting to read. If you liked 'Guts', I would highly recommend checking out her other books like "Sisters" and "Smile" (Raina is the same main character except she is a bit older). Overall, I'd rate this a full five stars!

Most of the time I give 5 star reviews and stick to the bright side but i love the baby sitter club but this book makes my face turn green and idk what to say now it just wrong to me
