Carlton Crumple has always believed in the existence of monsters, partly due to his older brother Milt telling Carlton made up stories. For most of his life, he believe Milt, until one day, Lulu his neighbor, changed his view towards monsters. From that moment onward, Carlton dedicated all his time to becoming the world's first creature catcher! He overcame his fears of monsters, and learned all the techniques on how to catch creatures (he even tried some on his family!). Carlton had a bright future as a creature catcher. That is, until his parents decided that Carlton needed a real job, not some imaginary job. Day after day, Carlton went to work, hopeful that one day, he might be needed to catch a monster. And boy, was his dream brought to life. Enter, the Munchies, ancient monsters who wanted nothing but to eat all the fast food they could possibly find. Carlton set out on his mission to stop the Munchies before they ate all the fast food. Will Carlton Crumple be able to catch the Munchies? Or will the Munchies devour all the fast food and destroy towns in their path? To find out, read Carlton Crumple Creature Catcher 1: Catch the Munchies! I really loved the cute illustrations in this book, and I would recommend it to younger children who love a good adventure. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars.

Carlton Crumple is a believer. When his brother fools him by telling him that monsters are alive, he believes him. Not like he can call any other creature catcher to help him- wait, that gave him an idea. Why not turn into a creature catcher? These skills come and are pretty useful when the monsters come, and Carlton will have to act quick to catch those creatures. It is going to be a nice journey, but hard with twists and turns along the way.

Everybody has annoying siblings right? Well Carlton Crumple has an brother who makes him scared by telling monster stories then scaring him by dressing up in monster costume. Then young Carlton had enough of this and decided to become the world's first creature catcher. Carlton begins to practice monster catching drills around the house and targeting his family members but his Dad had enough of this and told him to go get a real job. He begins to work at the popular (fictional) fast food chain Chubbzy Cheeseburgers. He gets in trouble with his boss many times. One day an ancient sea creature was awaken by a french fry from Chubbzy Cheeseburgers. They become hungry for Chubbzy Cheeseburgers and go on a hunt to destroy errr rather eat all of them. The rest of this fun comic follows the world's first monster catcher Carlton Crumple's adventure on the run from the cops and even his boss to stop these creatures. This is a great comic with a different style of drawings then superheros and is basic.

Whoa! This book looks hilarious!

This book is hilarious! It is about a young boy named Carlton Crumple. Carlton is what you might call a "believer". This basically means that he believes all the stories his brother tells him about monsters. So when he finds out that there is no Creature Catcher, he decides that he wants to be one! But where will he find a monster to catch? When monsters are unleashed from deep with in the lake by a single french fry, Carlton finally gets his chance! Will he be able to catch the monsters? Read the book to find out! I recommend it for ages 7- 10! Happy Reading!

In this action packed graphic novel, Carlton finally gets so scared of his brother chasing him in monster costumes, that Carlton decides to become a creature catcher. His dad thinks that is stupid and tells Carlton to get a real job. Carlton then gets a job at a fast food restaurant. Meanwhile, a kid lazily throws a french fry into a lake which awakens an ancient lake creature! This made the creature hungry and it starts eating all the food in the world! Now it's up to Carlton to use his creature catching skills to save the planet. This book was not quite for my age but I would definitely recommend this book for grades 1 - 4, as the plot is simple and easy to follow and young readers will like the humor.

This graphic novel is absolutely amazing! It has a lot of comedy and action as well! This book is about an ordinary child named Carlton Crumple turned Monster Hunter (but TOTALLY not because of his brother)! But so far, there are no monsters to hunt. But that all changed one day, when a little kid threw a french fry into the ocean. Now Carlton has to stop the "Munchies", some monsters that will stop at nothing to eat all the fast food in the world! Luckily, Carlton has all the tools he needs (like a spatula crossbow) and a friend to aid him in his quest! Now, the only question is, will this novel be a good read? Well, as the deputy of police in the book says, "Yep."
