Magnus Chase has seen his share of trouble. Ever since that terrible night two years ago when his mother told him to run, he has lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, staying one step ahead of the police and truant officers.
One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he barely knows-a man his mother claimed was dangerous. Uncle Randolph tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god.
The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants, and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years.
When an attack by fire giants forces him to choose between his own safety and the lives of hundreds of innocents, Magnus makes a fatal decision.
Sometimes, the only way to start a new life is to die . . .

This book was AMAZING!! I especially like Alex's part in the story. This book really got me hooked. At the beginning, it wasn't that good, but it got WAY better.

hi hi

great book

This book was just okay. It was simply not up to par with ANY of the other books Riordan has written. Cool concept, just not his best.

This book is great! I love Rick Riordan's books. I like how Thor is not like the Marvel version but the accurate mythology Thor. This is a good book for Percy Jackson fans.

I cannot express how much I love these books. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who wants an adventure but also something funny. Put it at the top of your list!

AWESOME! KInda like Percy Jackson, but I personally think Percy Jackson is better. The book was adventures and every part was like the ride mount Everst in Disney world, Florida. I can't wait to read the next book!

it was absolutly awesome. action packed and full of funny parts, and other stuff...

A boy wakes up under a bridge and is told 'They're after you'. From there, it goes downhill. Magnus dies and is sent to Valhalla, but he must escape...

I'm still finishing reading this book and I'm only about 6 chapters in, but it is AWESOME. This book has a really fun twist of action, humor and history! There is so much information and the book really makes it interesting with all the humor mixed in! LOVE IT!
