This is a very good book and I loved it. it has some very sappy parts, and some parts where you feel like punching Julian. Here's a summary: August Pullman was born with a big birth defect, he hasn't gone to school, until now. Auggie's parents signed him up for school at Beecher Prep, but he doesn't know what he's in for, "Like a lamb to the slaughter". when Auggie gets there, he makes friends with Jack and Summer. August is happy until Halloween, where Jack makes a big mistake, Summer helps him and Jack mends the break between him and August. Julian is one of August's main enemys, and now he's even being mean to Jack. This book also is told by Via, or Olivia, Auggie's sister, Justin, Via's boyfriend, and Jack. Via has problems with her friend, Miranda, but they learn. Hope you enjoyed my summary and hope you enjoyed or will enjoy the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.
The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.
I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.
August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

It was a really great book.
great book! loved how the story was told in so many different point of views!!!!!!!
This is one of the most emotional and touching book that I have ever read. This book has so many different things that you can relate to, that it makes you feel like you are the main character of the book. August, the main character, has a birth defect that affects his face, he is very intelligent, but is treated as if he is a first grader. Read this book if you want to figure out how August makes if through Elementary school in one piece.
this book is a very great book. I have read it before and I want to re read it because I Loved it the first time I read it . I advise everyone to read it because it tells a story from different points of view from the different characters
