This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I give it 3 million stars

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this series might have been the best series ever. I cried when I finished it, that's how good it was!

Harry Potter is an ordinary boy. He doesn't have special powers, and he isn't anyone special, espically to his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Dudley. Until that fateful night on his eleventh birthday when he learns he's a...wizard? And a very very good wizard? As Harry goes through learning what he should wear, making new friends, and dealing with popularity he never had, he finds out that there is an evil force lurking...and they're coming right after him.

This book is a great book for people who like wizards, witches, and sorcery. It is about a kid, who gets left with his horrible, cruel aunt and uncle. He wants a way to get some sort of freedom, then one day he figures out that he is a wizard. Read the book to find out more of his adventures!!!

really good book, one swear word.its about a boy who finds out he is a wizard with an really extraordinary past but when he gets to school strange things happen ,even for wizards

This is the first book in a series of eight. Harry Potter a legendary wizard who is living with his aunt and uncle who don't want him to be a wizard. Hagrid gets Harry and takes him to Hogwarts where Harry has many adventures and must protect the Scorer's Stone.

This book is off the chain it's so cool Harry potter is so rad

I feel as if my eyes were opened in this series to new & magical things, why couldn't every series be as long as this one! JK Rowling is brilliant & clever! The characters are vibrant & actually have personality (hint hint, sorry Bella from twilight) the books were so good & my issue is voldemorts death takes up two sentences & Snapes is a few chapters... Good Job, JK Rowling!!

A page turning book with lot's of adventure and magic!

I liked this book beacause I like good wizards not evil wizards

Well it's a mix of both. Have you heard of the "delightful" Dolores Jane Umbridge?
