Trespassers will be turned to stone

For centuries, mystical creatures of all description were gathered to a hidden refuge called Fablehaven to prevent their extinction. The sanctuary is one of the last strongholds of true magic. Enchanting? Absolutely. Exciting? You bet. Safe? Well, actually, quite the opposite . . .

Kendra and her brother, Seth, have no idea their grandfather is the current caretaker of Fablehaven. Inside the gated woods, ancient laws keep order among greedy trolls, mischievous satyrs, plotting witches, spiteful imps, and jealous fairies. However, when the rules get broken, powerful forces of evil are unleashed, forcing Kendra and Seth to face the greatest challenge of their lives, to save their family, Fablehaven, and perhaps even the world.

You can't just read the first book in the series you have to read them all. Once you finish reading them all, you have to start over because of how much you want more books in the series. It's such an amazing book and for me, there was never a moment of boredom. Everbody should be able to have the chance to read not only this book, but all of them in this series.

this book fascinated me . It was very intriguing , I wish that I had it because I only borrowed the book.

The world this book is written in is really complex. It's got so much going on, but the story is so rich I never want to stop reading it. I had a hard time at first keeping track of all of the characters, but I just kept going and now I want to read it again!

This is a really exciting book. Kendra and Seth find out that they are staying in Fablehaven, where imps, fairies, witches and more live! They go through series of adventures, making each turn of the page even more captivating than the last (I'm not sure if I worded that right but it'll have to do) All in all, it's a great book!

Fablehaven is an amazing series with all sorts of fantastical creatures!! There are dragons, fairies, trolls, satyrs, and more!!! This series is a must read!

This book surprised me from the very beginning! It was an excellent read, and - BONUS - it's a summer reading book! Fourteen-year-old Kendra feels abandoned when her parents leave her and eleven-year-old Seth at Grandpa and Grandma Sorenson's (who they BARELY KNOW) house while Mom and Dad go on a cruise. Mom and Dad say they won't enjoy it, but let's be honest kids, we all see through that lie. In the first couple of days there, several strange things happen. First of all, there are signs leading up to the entrance gate, the last one being the most disturbing: Certain Death Awaits. They aren't allowed to go into the woods or the barn. Dale, one his Grandpa Sorenson's few workers, leaves fresh milk in a bucket for butterflies. It turns out the playroom is only half of the attic! And what will they key-treasure-hunt lead to? When Seth gets bored and goes into the forest anyway, he discovers a witch living in a hut in the middle of nowhere. (Of course Kendra doesn't believe him-right?) When he goes back again he finds a giant hidden beautiful pond, with swans and the works! What was his Grandfather hiding? Kendra finally finds all the keys to open the mysterious journal...but it's blank? WHAT'S GOING ON? The only words are - DRINK THE MILK. Needing a guinea pig, Kendra retrieves Seth and tells him that the milk tastes amazing. Unless Seth's acting skills got a whole lot better without her knowing, this farm isn't what Grandpa says it is. Welcome to FABLEHAVEN! Land of fairies, witches, imps, naiads, trolls, and much much more! --BKS

This is the first book in a series. two siblings, Kendra and Seth have to stay with their grandparents, while their parents go to Scandinavia for 17 days. Kendra and Seth don't really talk to their grandparents, so they don't know each other that well. There are lots of magical creatures (like witches, fairies, and even strange chickens). i actually really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the others.

The plot was interesting, and the writing good. Kendra and Seth discover that their secretive grandparents have been keeping a plot of land populated by magical creatures, and then are plunged into a whole new world. I found both main characters annoying, but that's just my opinion. A good start to a series and a good debut novel.

I just finished a summer camp based on the book Fablehaven. I love this series, I have already read the 1st one I was shocked how interested I was in the book because I am a very picky reader. Now I only have 1 chapter left of the 2nd and I'm on to the 3rd.👁️💖📚

Kendra and Seth Sorenson are very unhappy that their parents left them at their grandparents’ estate. Wouldn’t you, if your parents suddenly went on a cruise? LUCKY!!! At least, that’s what Kendra and Seth think at first. They soon discover that the seemingly boring estate is really Fablehaven, a safe sanctuary where fairies and other magical creatures and animals thrive, unknown by the rest of the world. It’s like a piece of a fairytale in their backyard! Of course, Kendra and Seth are thrilled, but things get out of hand when they realize that their grandma is a CHICKEN! WHAT?! I know, that was my reaction too when I found out. They have to save her and the rest of Fablehaven from a dark creature who lives within... but not without facing some seriously hard challenges on the way— including massaging a giant!?! Kendra and Seth did NOT sign up for this! I felt very glad that I was not in their shoes! :) I had a lot of fun reading this book, and I think you will too! It was full of humor, adventure, and suspense, everything I needed for this book to be a total page-turner. The author is very descriptive and I could see the book come to life as it formed wonderful pictures in my head! I recommend this book to adventure-loving kids 8+ and rate it 4/5 stars!
