House of dies drear is not a very mysterious book like it says on the back cover. I was expecting something a little more thrilling and shocking. It was a bit dull. I would probably give it three stars. It was creepy for a little bit but in the end it wasn't as scary as I hoped it would be.

The book House of Dies Drear is a magnificent story. It is mysterious and fun. Once you start you can’t stop. It is mysterious because of the mysterious sounds and passageways Thomas finds. I highly recommend this book.
