Trees can't tell jokes, but they can certainly tell stories. . . .

Red is an oak tree who is many rings old. Red is the neighborhood "wishtree"―people write their wishes on pieces of cloth and tie them to Red's branches. Along with her crow friend Bongo and other animals who seek refuge in Red's hollows, this "wishtree" watches over the neighborhood.

You might say Red has seen it all. Until a new family moves in. Not everyone is welcoming, and Red's experiences as a wishtree are more important than ever.

Funny, deep, warm, and nuanced, Wishtree is Newbery Medalist and New York Times–bestselling author Katherine Applegate at her very best―writing from the heart, and from a completely unexpected point of view.

this book is really meaning full.it shows working together can make a difrence.i

At times this book somehow had enough words and emotion it made me cry! This is a great book that if I were you I would totally read!

I love Wishtree: Every word can move you, change your view of the world. I think it's really awesome. Katherine Applegate did an amazing job of sharing the story of Red, an especially talkative tree. Red's numerous plots to help Samar make friends around the middle of the book made me laugh a lot, but the fact that my motion-sick little sister was sitting next to me while I was reading it in the airplane woke me up out of the wonderful world of Wishtree.

i liked this book because it described life from perspective of a tree and it is all about weird crows and friend ship that is fun to read about.

This story is sort of slow and it teaches the lesson of friend ship. it is empowering to think about and i would really recommend this to people who are looking for something to read.

They call this tree Wishtree. He is eager to say something and one day he does it, feels shamed, and never will talk again. This book tells you that it is important to be a community and be kind to one another and not to use the word LEAVE.

Wishtree is a really good book about a tree in a neighborhood and the neighbors call wishtree and on the first of May every year, people come to write their wishes on the tree and some are silly, some are grand and some of the wishes come true, some don't.

Wishtree is a wonderful story that includes magic , wishes and friendship. It's about a tree named Red and Red is the Wishtree for the neighborhood. Every year, on the first of May, everyone writes their wish on a piece of paper or ribbon and hang it on Red. I recommend this book to people who enjoy friendship and nature.

Wish Tree By Katherine Applegate Published :September 26,2017 Wish Tree is by the author of the One and only Ivan, Crenshaw, etc. Wish Tree is a book about the meaning of friendship and is also is a great example of a different point of view. People make wishes every year, in Wish Tree you will learn how people use a great red oak tree to show wishes and thoughts. I recommend this book to about 3-7 grade. In my opinion I love fiction and I think that this will work for anyone who loves fiction or whom ever will give this book a chance. I love this book specifically because I love fiction, I also like the way Katherine Applegate used a different and unusual point of view that you don’t see often. Have a great time reading this book if you can.
