More (nearly) true confessions from the diaries of Jamie Kelly. A hilarious middle-schooler's diary about her stinky beagle, mad best friend, disgustingly lovely rival and unrequited crush on the eighth-best-looking boy in the class. It's Wimpy Kid with a girl central character. Fantastic black and white cartoons throughout.

My book is called Dear Dumb Diary, Never Do Anything, Ever. This book is 2.0 points and a 5.7 AR book level. The author of this book is Jim Benton. This book has 132 pages. I recommend this book to Elementary school girls who would like realistic funny books. The setting of this book takes place in Mackerel Middle School. There are two main characters ( Angeline and Jamie ). Angeline and Jamie both fight over the 8th cutest boy in the school named Hudson. When Hudson acts as if he likes Angeline, Jamie gets jealous. Sense Hudson likes how Angeline acts and her looks, Jamie tries to be like Angeline. When Jamie tries to act like Angeline, it doesn't turn out so well. Jamie always embarasses herself around Hudson. Soon Jamie gets an idea. But you have to read the book to find out what it is. If you were wanting to know a little bit about Jamie , Jamie's full name is Jamie Kelly. She goes to Mackerel Middle School with her best friend Isabella. Her main sport is jumpropery and her worst sport is baby tossing. What I like about this book is its funny, how it is realistic fiction, and how it gives a lot of detail and information. I don't like that it doesn't have a lot of events taking place. But overall, I give this book a rating of 10 out of 10. If you were wanting to learn a little bit about the author, Jim Benton writes comics and a wonderful cartoonist. He Jim Benton is the creator of thousands of characters that appear on television, magazines, books, etc. He has been hailed “The most visible cartoonist in America.”
