Lea Clark is looking forward to seeing her brother after 3 years- Zac had been to college in Brazil! But the reunion isn't picture perfect. Zac is still treating Lea like a little kid, and they aren't getting along very well. Lea goes to the beach with her family-- nothing to be scared about, right? But after a bad incident with a big, salty wave, Lea is scared of swimming in the ocean. She finds she enjoys taking pictures of the water more than actually being in it! She meets a great new friend named Camila who attempts to help Lea get over her fear of the ocean. One day Lea goes hiking with Zac and her dad, and trouble strikes. Can Lea get over her fear of the ocean and prove to Zac she's more mature? I loved this book!! Even though it was more aimed at younger kids than 12-year-olds like me, I still loved the descriptive nature of this book as I took a trip with Lea to Brazil, a country of culture and fun!

Lea Dives In by Lisa Yee is a American Girl doll book. It is about a girl (Lea) who goes to Brazil with her family to see her brother who is there studying the rainforest. She is so excited to see the ocean but then she decides she wants to take pictures instead. She makes a new friend who tells her to just have fun. But then the fun becomes danger and she knows she will have to prove she can face adventure head on! It is fun and very exciting and I recommend this to anyone who loves adventure and fun!

Lea goes on an epic summer adventure in Brazil to visit her brother Zac. Along the way, she meets Camila. She puts up a blog which show pictures she took with her special waterproof camera, her grandmother ,Ama gave her before she passed away. I liked this book because Lea is strong , brave, courageous, and adventurous.

Lea Dives in is about a girl named Lea who goes to Brazil to see the nature, such as the ocean, and rain forests. Lea is scared of going in the ocean, so she has to overcome her fear. This book is very simple so I wasn't very interested, but it was pretty adventurous. This book is meant for girls ages 8-12.

sure she goes to brazil to see her brother. Why should i care the auther just put a movie into a book

This book is pretty interesting. You can relate to the characters very easily. Also, it is an American Girl Doll book, and I love those! However, it is kind of short.

I NEVER EVER AM READING THIS BOOK OR ANY OTHER ONE RELATED TO THIS IT WAS SO BORING AND PLANE I DONT LIKE AMERICAN GIRL DOLL AND I DONT LIKE THE BOOK EITHER

I love this book. It is about a girl named Lea and her brother comes to see her because he lives in Brazil. She goes to Brazil to see her brother. And they go on a hike her dad almost falls off a cliff. But Lea goes and find a rescue team. Her brother tells her he has been tracking poachers can they stop them together?

I must say, I originally thought this was a book for little kids, like the other AG books, but I found a certain maturity in the blunt emotions and the more complex wording. The author maintains a descriptive way of writing. Lea goes on a trip to Brazil to see her older brother Zac who is studying the rainforest there, but she soon realizes that she and her brother have changed a lot since he left when she was seven. She's ten now and he's still treating her like she's a little kid! If that isn't bad enough, Lea discovers she is still afraid of the ocean, the waves, and putting her face under the water because of a traumatic experience when she was little. Can Lea find the courage to face the water? And more importantly, can she be brace when it really counts? The only part I didn't like was at the end when she gave away her Ama's necklace.

Lea Dives In was a really fun book to read. Lea is a really cool character because she loves to explore! But in the book Lea has to overcome her fear of the ocean! I loved reading about her interesting adventures!
