Catrina and her family are moving to the coast of Northern California because her little sister, Maya, is sick. Cat isn't happy about leaving her friends for Bahía de la Luna, but Maya has cystic fibrosis and will benefit from the cool, salty air that blows in from the sea. As the girls explore their new home, a neighbor lets them in on a secret: There are ghosts in Bahía de la Luna. Maya is determined to meet one, but Cat wants nothing to do with them. As the time of year when ghosts reunite with their loved ones approaches, Cat must figure out how to put aside her fears for her sister's sake -- and her own.

Raina Telgemeier has masterfully created a moving and insightful story about the power of family and friendship, and how it gives us the courage to do what we never thought possible.

This is a beautiful book about love and loss, and of course, GHOSTS! However, rather than being a horror story about ghosts, the ghosts in this book are joyful and happy. This beautifully illustrated book also deals with cystic fibrosis, a difficult disease to deal with. I hope you read this book!

This a comic book about two sisters, the smaller one who has a lung disease, who move to a new city where many people believe in ghosts. Then the Day of the Dead celebration occurs and any great things happen. Read to find out more.

But it was sad because cats sister Maya is sick and they have to move to a new town. cat meet a boy named Carlos and he tells the two sister's that there is ghost cat wantsdose nothing to do with it but her sister really wants to meet one.

Raina Telgemeier is a great author! This book is unlike the other graphic novels she has written. Because there are many similarities, and it is different from the others, I enjoyed this book!

Cat(short for Catrina) is not happy that she and her family are moving to the coast of Northern California. But there's little she can do about it. The reason they are moving is because Cat's little sister, Maya, is sick. But of course their new town, Bahia de la Luna is more than "ordinary". A neighbor boy, Carlos, tells the sisters that there are ghosts in the town. Cat wants nothing to do with the ghosts, but Cat is dying to meet one. As Dia de la Muerta approaches, Cat must come to face with her fears. Maya has Cystic Fibrosis. I like how Raina emphasized the sickness, but even more so how Maya doesn't let her illness get her down. I also think it shows how much Cat loves her little sister, as she is always looking out for her. There is such a strong bond between the sisters. I recommend this book for Raina Telgemeier fans, and elementary kids who enjoy graphic novel. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

I loved this book so much! I can't stop re-reading it. Raina Telgemeier is my favorite author for sure! Of course, like all her other books, it's a comic. This isn't about Raina though. The main character is Cat. Her and her family move to a new state. New school, new house, new town, new everything. Cat's life is different from most of ours because she has to look out for her sister(Maya) who has cystic fibrosis. This book celebrates Cinco de Mayo and Raina Telgemeier made this book fiction, but the celebration of Cinco de Mayo is true. Read this amazing book for more details.

I really loved this book and very highly recommend reading this book as well as the other books by Raina Telgemeier! Raina is a very talented comic writer in my opinion. All of her books are comics I believe. You should really read this book.

Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier is about a girl named Cat who has to move with her family because of her sister's sickness, to a place with ghosts. This experience for Cat teaches her to face her fears, and about how much family really means.
