Introvert Melanin Sun writes in notebooks because he isn't very good at talking about how he feels. He's really close to his mom, but when she tells him she's gay and wants to date a white women, he can hardly forgive her let alone accept the other woman.

I'd really like to read this book one day because I've read a book by Jacqueline Woodson before and I really enjoyed the writing style. I think this books sounds interesting too and like something I might enjoy.
