Ray Bradbury's internationally acclaimed novel "Fahrenheit 451"is a masterwork of twentieth-century literature set in a bleak, dystopian future.

Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden.

Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family." But then he meets an eccentric young neighbor, Clarisse, who introduces him to a past where people didn't live in fear and to a present where one sees the world through the ideas in books instead of the mindless chatter of television.

When Mildred attempts suicide and Clarisse suddenly disappears, Montag begins to question everything he has ever known. He starts hiding books in his home, and when his pilfering is discovered, the fireman has to run for his life.

Yeah all of hers are, duh. ( Just teasing. But they really are good though!)

I'm like blushing right now (just kidding), all of your guys reviews are soooooooo awesome... kudos for all of us who writes in Dogobooks/movies/news!!!

This book is absolutely one of my favorites. You'll be surprised how quickly you read this book. It's just absolutely fabulous, blows you way, so you should READ it. In the book it kind of deals with the future, like what's going to happen in the future. I thought this book was very descriptive, but to full of details, everything comes out to you. Which is kind of a good thing since it's so descriptive, you could actually really imagine it. Guy Montag is a usual firefighter, he has a wife(who watched television every single day) who is a bit... not crazy but too plain... his job is to burn all the books, wherever the books are in(usually hidden in the house), since books are illegal. < I wouldn't want to live in Fahrenheit 451 , I mean YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITHOUT BOOKS AND READING... anyways sorry for my little outburst about living without books and reading...> anyways life starts to get more interesting to Guy after he meets his new/young neighbor named Clarisse. Clarisse has a brilliant mind, and is open to everything(new or old) around her. She has confidence around her, right by her side. Sometimes Clarisse and Guy would talk to each other and walk around. But Clarisse is missing, and Guy's wife almost committed suicide... what's happening to Guy's life? After Clarisse disappearance, Guy starts to be strong and starting to be a "rebel," collecting books(yay :D). Will Clarisse come back? Will Guy get caught? Many questions are probably forming in your head. So READ it, trust me... you'll understand more about like, the future, and about how important books are. I think everyone should read it, including YOU!!!!!

It was pretty hard to understand the book, but still it was really interesting. It is about firefighter who want to read books which is illigal.
