George Orwell’s 1945 satire on the perils of Stalinism has proved magnificently long-lived as a parable about totalitarianism anywhere—and has given the world at least one immortal phrase: “Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.”This new dramatization sticks very closely to the book, and the production has toured all over England, Scotland, Wales and Romania in Orwell’s centenary year. “Dare I say it . . . as good as the book.”—Guardian

I love this book! It's awesome but sad at the same time. It almost made me cry. If your looking for a book to read, this is the perfect one.

The book is great itself and it shows animals overthrowing Mr.Jones (The farm owner) because he acted like a dictator. Now the animals must think and work for themselves to survive when Napoleon, another animal comes in as a dictator and kills other animals who disobeys him. (This relates to the French Revolution of Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin)

I'll say this straight if you don't read often or enough you may not understand what's happening in the book. The basic idea is that it is about animals led by the pigs who want to overthrow their masters but in the end being the pigs end up being the exact same as the humans; controlling.

This was one of the most best books ever. It had such smart ideas placed in it. It was hard I guess, to find out the hidden meanings, but the book was just amazing. The ideas of how power can change everything is quite frightening.
