I loved this book. I liked it because it was easy to read and very interesting. I taught me things I never heard of about Zimbabwe and America. I learned that in Zimbabwe you don't have to go to school. And also that in Zimbabwe people speak English and Shona. And I learned that September 11 2001, people crashed in a field in Pensalvania and hit a third of the pentagon.
Ratchet ( Rachel) is a not normal girl. For one thing she helps her dad fix cars and is really good at it, also all her stuff comes from the good will, she has never gone to school in her whole life and has never had a friend, and it doesn't help that her dad looks like a young Albert Einstein who loves nature and always is doing stuff to protect the world.Ratchet's dad is trying to save the park in their neighborhood but while doing so he is arrested for stealing for a sentence he has to do community service by teaching the Go Cart Class how to build their cars. Can Ratchet find a friend at the class or is she doomed to be the weirdo forever? The story is told from Ratchet's Language Art's Journal. This story is very good it made me feel all the emotions that Ratchet was feeling at that moment and I really got into the story. If you haven't read this book you definitely should.
