This was pretty fascinating! I mean, Thanksgiving is a pretty underrated holiday in my opinion, because most people just look forward to it for Black Friday, which I can see is understandable, but Thanksgiving is often a holiday overlooked between Halloween and Christmas. I didn't know that President Abraham Lincoln loved roasted turkey though! That was news for me! Did you know that Americans eat 704 million pounds of turkey every Thanksgiving? I mean, I eat a lot, but that's a WHOLE lot! Here's a fact I didn't know: Female turkeys don't gobble! Anyways, I personally love celebrating Thanksgiving, as it's a time to show gratitude for the people and things we are thankful for. What are you thankful for? GivingTuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is touted as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world". This is a pretty underrated day during Thanksgiving break! I was thinking, and here are some ideas YOU could do to take part in the #giving act! Support your local community fridge or food pantry, by donating food! Combat loneliness by reaching out to a neighbor, relative, seniors or veterans! Give to organizations and activists who are pushing for change, locally and worldwide! Identify your gifts, pick a cause that gets you fired up, and give back – not just for GivingTuesday but every day! ❤️❤️🫶

Wow! I love the cold, but that takes it on a whole other level! I don't think I could even function without sunlight for 64 continuous days aka 1,536 HOURS! I actually could never 😅😅 And the conditions there are so primitive! For example, I found that there are no roads connecting Utqiagvik to the outside world. The dirt roads that do exist end just a couple of kilometres outside of town! And that locals survive largely by hunting and catching fish from the Arctic Ocean or nearby rivers and lakes!! Wow! Really didn't think those kinds of people existed today! Props to the people who live there though! I guess everyone has a different idea of home! But again, I love feeling the sunshine on my skin, I'm cool with where I'm living right now! ❤️❤️

That's a pretty good idea! In all honesty, that part of technological advancement probably isn't even that far from our grasp!

Wow! First Norway's hotel, now this! I'm glad for people working together to make the world a better place for everyone! The part where it mentioned that pollution from the 64,000 cars that pass through daily ruin the park sort of made me sad, but realize how extreme the situation has become without any attendance. I can't wait for it to be done in 2030! I looked up some facts about sustainability, and found that on average, ONE supermarket goes through 60,500,000 paper bags per year! Even though this doesn't have much to do with actually making the environment prettier and greener, this is still bad news! I'm happy that $250 million dollars is being invested in the project though! You go Anne Hidalgo!

That's amazing! Real sustainability is a hard thing to achieve, but we need to work together to make it happen, just like the 5.4 million residents in Norway! Although a hotel may seem like a waste of money and space, as it really isn't doing anything to save the environment, it will definitely help in the long run! Did you know that the US makes up only 5% of the world population, but it throws away enough plastic bottles in a week to encircle the Earth 5 times? I think we should all work together to do better! Recycle! It may not seem much now but it's all working towards a bigger goal! I'm glad this hotel got a chance to open for the public! Someday I wish to go!
