olive_tree18's book review was featured in Timothy of the Cay.
This book was really interesting! It is about Timoty and Phillip again but in a prequel-sequel style. This book gives a backstory on Timothy's life as a kid all the way through his middle-aged years. It talks about how he learned to survive on the cay and his experience with ships. In Phillip's chapters, it talks about Phillip and his life after he was rescued from the cay. It gives a story of what he had to go through to get his sight back and to fulfill his dream of seeing the cay with his own eyes. Timothy has a dream too. He wants to get his own ship one day. Read Timothy of the Cay to find out if they will fulfill their dreams. I made a text-to-text connection with this book because I read the first book to this: The Cay. I would rate this book a five out of five stars because it had a lot of feeling to it, and it was interesting to learn about Timothy's past and Phillip's future.

The Vault of Shadows, the second book of The Nightsiders series, takes place a little after Milo and his friends steal the Heart of Darkness (the only gateway left for the Nightsiders, creatures of mystery and fantasy trying to get back home). However, the alien bugs are brooding and it's up to Milo and his friend are set in for an adventure. The reason I connected to this book is because of it's cool end of the world apocalypse theme. The pacing is wonderful, the character dynamics are great and the story and plot itself if breathtaking, that's why this review is 5 stars. So I would absolutely recommend this book to you after you read the first one (don't make the mistake that I did. I learned that lesson the hard way).

Following the events of The Hostile Hospital, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire arrive at Caligari Carnival in the trunk of Count Olaf and his theatre troupe's car, unknown to them. Olaf and his associates speak of seeking Madame Lulu, a mysterious fortune-teller and owner of Caligari Carnival, for answers of the whereabouts of the Snicket files, which apparently contains crucial information on V.F.D. I made a connection for text to text because it reminds me of books that I've read that leave wondering until you read more. I give this book five stars because of how it is written and how every time you read it you find out something new about the characters and their journey. To find out if the Baudelaires escape read the Carnivorous Carnival.

This book is about how Stonehenge was built and its interesting facts with it. It also talked about multiple people and how Stonehenge became what it is today. I related to this book by when I would help build with my dad . I gave it a 3/5 stars because it did get confusing when they would talk about who built it ;then the next part would be about who owns it.

avanumbereight's book review was featured in The Marvels.
The Marvels is a book about a young boy, Billy Marvel, surviving in a shipwreck. Later on, he finds work in a theater with many generations of a family of actors. Joseph Jervis runs away form boarding school in 1990 and comes to dark and snowy London looking for Link, his dog, and his uncle. I made a connection to this book of another book I did a review on, The Invention of Hugo Cabret. I read this book after reading the Invention of Hugo Cabret and I am not sure what book I love more. The author's way of writing these books is the way that gets me excited to pick up another book written by him and start reading it. I rated this book four stars, because it got confusing when they switched from Billy to Joseph but later on it started to come together.
