This book of the Elythian (sorry for possible typo) girl with green eyes has to get dragon's milk to save her sister. She barters her service as a babysitter for the precious milk. When she sits for the dragons one day, the mother dragon is slain, and is forced to go to a remote island where the babies are to grow up.
