"Wonder" is the funny, sweet and incredibly moving story of Auggie Pullman. Born with a terrible facial abnormality, this shy, bright ten-year-old has been home-schooled by his parents for his whole life, in an attempt to protect him from the stares and cruelty of the outside world. Now, for the first time, Auggie is being sent to a real school - and he's dreading it. The thing is, Auggie's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, underneath it all? Through the voices of Auggie, his big sister Via, and his new friends Jack and Summer, "Wonder" follows Auggie's journey through his first year at Beecher Prep. Frank, powerful, warm and often heart-breaking, "Wonder" is a book you'll read in one sitting, pass on to others, and remember long after the final page.

I read this in 5th grade and I didn't like it that much. It was kind of the same lesson they teach us at school, that bulling hurts. For me it was boring but for others it was great, so I don't know what to really tell you about this so I'll settle for this: It was boring (there was no action) Repeating the same "life lesson" Not that special to me

Auggie Doggie :D The thing that shocked me most in this book is when I realised that people all around the world have face deformities and they're ridiculed, teased and bullied about it. It's not their fault their face doesn't look like yours! At least their heart's not as ugly as yours.

Wonder is a great book about many different peoples lives and how they are affected by the main character August. August is just going to a school for the first time and about the struggles he faces because he looks different.

This book is great. It is so touching! It really helps younger kids remind themselves that if they think that they have it bad (and some might) there will almost always be someone who has it worse.
