"Wonder" is the funny, sweet and incredibly moving story of Auggie Pullman. Born with a terrible facial abnormality, this shy, bright ten-year-old has been home-schooled by his parents for his whole life, in an attempt to protect him from the stares and cruelty of the outside world. Now, for the first time, Auggie is being sent to a real school - and he's dreading it. The thing is, Auggie's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. But can he convince his new classmates that he's just like them, underneath it all? Through the voices of Auggie, his big sister Via, and his new friends Jack and Summer, "Wonder" follows Auggie's journey through his first year at Beecher Prep. Frank, powerful, warm and often heart-breaking, "Wonder" is a book you'll read in one sitting, pass on to others, and remember long after the final page.

In class we read it and I think it had a message to be kind and not to be mean to someone just because they look different.

Wonder was a WONDERful book. It was a meaningful book with an important message to share about kindness and how to treat others, but is still a funny and understandable. Two thumbs up.

This book is so touching and sweet! I have a friend who has special needs ( Not quite like Auggie ) but everyone treats her differently just because she has a disability. I can really relate to Wonder. By The Way if you like Wonder, read Out Of My MInd It kind of has the same story plot in a way

I think it has a really great message to it. There are some sad parts but it is mostly a happy story. My class and I read this at the beginning of the year and we STILL are talking about it today. I suggest that all classes in fourth grade read this book!
