Sally Lockhart, who is rarely known as Veronica Beatrice in 1872. Despite Sally`s father, Matthew Lockhart, was suspiciously died due to the ship, Lavina, accident. Sally soon learned all about; Major Marchbanks, Seven Blessings, the ruby, and the opium, and Sally also soon learned that she is a key to both of the mysteries at same time; the opium and the ruby. During that time, she was only 16 this time in super crazy events. She also met one girl, Adelaide, who is very afraid of one lady, Mrs. Holland, who is hunting to kill Sally, and the man, Ah Ling whose real name is Henrick Van Eeden, also wanted to kill Sally. Sally`s aunt, Mrs. Caroline Rees, who is kinda mean and that caused Sally to move to the another place. Soon in the book, she met Mr. Higgs but when Sally has asked him about the Seven Blessings, he dies of fear. Later, Sally has met few people; Frederick Garland, a photographer, Rosa, Frederick`s sister, is an actress, and their worker, Mr. Temple. But the ending is very unexpected; that Major Marchbanks, who was killed while ago in the book, is actually Sally`s real father, but when she was very young baby, Major has gave her to Mr. Lockhart. And the ending of the book, the letter from Mr. Lockhart is very heart-feeling, but also little bit sad... - Happy Reading!
