The Monstrumologist

The Monstrumologist

By Rick Yancey

The Monstrumologist was an exemplary book with the perfect mix of Adventure, Horror, Science-fiction and even a touch of Historical Fiction. I was pleased with the fact that there was no Romance within this novel (a genre I despise). The suspension was exhilarating, and I kept flipping pages. The amount of detail painted a vivid picture in my mind and often made me reel in disgust or gape at the amount of dedication it must have taken to create a book with so many layers and sub-mysteries. I recommend not consuming any food or drink while reading this book, because it gets delightfully gory at some parts. Otherwise, I highly recommend that you pick up this book and start reading. It won't fail to impress! The preferred age range would be 13+ and it will appeal mostly to males (since little to no romance exists in this book). There is a touch of mature content, but nothing you can't handle. I loved this book (it is one of my favorites) and you will too. (Remember, it's part of a series!)

This book is a near and dear story to me as I have struggled with anorexia. The demons are terrible but the song you sing in your soul needs to win every time. Great book!

That Was Then, This is Now (M-Books)

That Was Then, This is Now (M-Books)

By S.E. Hinton

Ironside

This book is one of teh worst books I have ever read, and I dont know why it was writen in the first place the dialog is dull and the reading level is far bellow what I would call middle school. The only reason a high school student would read this is the subject matter being to much for younger children.

this is my favorite book ever!! i have a similar story to katnissll. i read it two years ago, then i moved. i really wanted to read it again bcuz it was etched into my mind but i couldn't remember the title. i searched for hours and finally i found it!! i recently reread it and it was SO GOOD! everything about it is good! it has romance, adventure, fantasy, and twists and turns you would never expect. WAY better than the original 12 dancing princesses fairytale. i recommend it for everyone!! ever since i read it, i've loved the name azalea and i think i'm going to name my kid azalea and hope she's as sweet and amazing as the character in this book. the names are so creative and lord bradford... i recommend this book for everyone!!! it shoud be turned into a movie! i can totally imagine this as a movie and there are scenes you can picture on the silver screen. if the fanbase grows, maybe it will be turned into a movie!!

Slam! (Coretta Scott King Author Award Winner)

Slam! (Coretta Scott King Author Award Winner)

By Walter Dean Myers

The book I have read is called Slam and it is by Walter Dean Meyers. This book is about a 16 year old person called Greg Harris. He is also known as slam because of basketball. Slam loves playing basketball as he has joined a new school. Despite his talents, his teachers notice that his grades have declined. Now, Slam has to figure out what to do before he gets kicked off the team. My opinion of the book is that it is a good book. The reason why I say that it is a good book is that it really brings out the emotions of the character and what the character is feeling on the inside. Slam is realistic fiction because this could actually happen to someone or it is based off someone, but it has some fictional parts to it. An audience that would read this book would be an audience that likes sports and would enjoy a book with a lot of details because that is what this book exactly contains. A external conflict in the book was that Slam's friends are starting to turn on him because he left his old school and the think he is different. An internal conflict is that Slam is deciding whether to go back to his old school or not and it is fighting the insides of him.

This is a very good book if you are looking for something easy and fun to do. I have read this over and over again, and I am still not tired of it! It is a really fun and exiting book for young readers! This book gives you ideas of things to do, but there are other stuff like: Interviews with different people, movie recommendations and reviews, book recommendations and reviews, and many more. If you are ever bored, this book is perfect for you. If you like arts and crafts, movies, books, or interviews, those things are all in there. Happy Reading!!!! :)
