Pies & Prejudice (The Mother-Daughter Book Club)

Pies & Prejudice (The Mother-Daughter Book Club)

By Heather Vogel Frederick

So... I'm continuing my reviews again. In the book Pies & Prejudice, Emma moves to England at the beginning. Emma's parents had an house swap for one year with an girl, Annabelle's cousin. Annabelle is like Becca 0.3, only, like x5 worse. Annabelle and her cousins all make trouble in both England and America, after Emma stuck up for an girl who was getting bullied by Annabelle and her friends. The title about pies is because the girls devise a plan to bring Emma home for Spring Break (i think?..) as they do so, this book is all about their loyalty as a friend, through almost anything. SPOILER: The ice skating teacher dies. :(

The Stone Warriors (TombQuest, Book 4)

The Stone Warriors (TombQuest, Book 4)

By Michael Northrop

Stone Warriors is the 4th book in the TombQuest series. In this book Ren and Alex continue their search for for Alex's mother and the book of Lost Spells. This series has the same idea as 39 Clues or Spirit Animals-though they are all written by the same author. There suspense, action, a little mystery. As there were three previous books that I did not read, some parts were confusing. However, overall I was able to figure out what had happened and the key events that had occurred. The book was very fast-paced and had a lot of action. I was on the edge of my seat when the book ended on a cliffhanger. Will Ren and Alex complete their search? Or will Alex lose his mother forever? Will Ren and Alex be able to escape the cunning Order? This book would be good for ages 11-15. I wouldn't recommend it to any younger because of the whole setting of the book. There are many battles and graphic scenes. Overall, I enjoyed this book very much. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

May the Best Twin Win (It Takes Two)

May the Best Twin Win (It Takes Two)

By Belle Payton

I am reading May The Best Twin Win. It is a splendid book. This is because; it is about two twin sisters Ava and Alex. They both are in the Flag Football Game and on separate teams. They are each other’s opponent. Flag Football is when they play football but they have to grab each other’s flags. When the game started Alex’s team is winning I was surprised, Ava’s team was supposed to be more athletic. When Ava stole a flag from Alex, I was shocked. The book did not say anything about Ava at that time. Alex was about to score! I bet Ava’s pretty fast. I stopped at this time, I can’t wait to keep reading!

Go! Fight! Twin! (It Takes Two)

Go! Fight! Twin! (It Takes Two)

I loved this book so much!!!!!! My favorite character was Ava and her crazy personality. This book is about how Alex wants Ava to try out for cheerleading because Alex can't do it, but Ava passed so Alex has to do cheerleading. I think that the message in this story is, "try your best". I hope you like it!!!

Two Cool for School (It Takes Two)

Two Cool for School (It Takes Two)

This book is awesome!! I actully got it from DOGO!:) It is about twin girls and they just moved from Texas. Ava is a tomboy and Alex is a girly girl. So in the book is sort of about how it is their parents anniversary and Alex and Ava need to figure out how to get a nice dinner for their parents but after go to the pep rally. In the end it is all figured out. I recommend this book for girls only because it is girly-ish.
