Descendants of Darkness: Yami no Matsuei, Vol. 10

Descendants of Darkness: Yami no Matsuei, Vol. 10

By Yoko Matsushita

Do you like drama, adventure, comedy, anime and comic books? Well I have just the right thing for you!, Descendants Of Darkness 6 the author is Yoko Matsushita. The Summons Department had finally finished renovating their library and the year's budget is almost exhausted. To protect the Department's remaining buildings from further damage, Tsuzuki and Hisoka(The main characters) are sent on a business trip to a seaside resort in Okinawa. Working with local Summons Department shinigami, Hisoka and Tsuzuki are assigned to the Miyagi Inn where a mysterious spirit has invaded the building and scared away all the Inn's customers, threatening the owner with bankruptcy. Not until they are in the middle of a complex financial tangle do Tsuzuki and Hisoka discover that they may have been called in under false pretenses to prevent a hostile financial takeover from a rival hotel. This theory still doesn't explain the supernatural presence menacing the Miyagi Inn, a mystery that Tsuzuki could solve if he would just stop sulking over not being allowed to cook dinner! This episode is one of the silliest yet in the series, almost as if Matsushita wants to give her characters and her readers a rest before plunging them into the violent and eerie events of Volumes 7 and 8. After all, everyone deserves a vacation!

How do you help your friends? What If telling on someone can save someone from dying. In the book heart of a champion by carl deuker, Jimmy and Andrew face challenges all through the book The setting is school, a baseball field and his home and it was in modern times. In this book, there are two protagonists named Jimmy and Andrew. The antagonist in the story is alcohol, it became an addiction. He was a really good athlete. Drinking it hard because if the coach found out he would suspended him from the team. His dad was a big drinker to so that was one of his main goals not to drink but he tried it once and it became a habit. One of the many conflicts were that Jimmy liked to go out and drink when he was sixteen with some of his teammates and after games they would always have parties. He would always have to drive home after and if you drink and drive you could get pulled over or you could really get hurt by getting in a car crash. The second of many conflicts was Jimmy's parents got divorced because Jimmy's dad was not nice to them and he was a big drinker and when he brought Jimmy to a baseball game he drank a lot and he drove home well he was drunk and got Jimmy and him in a car crash but they both survived that's why you don't drink and drive. Jimmy didn't like his father when he grew up but Jimmy followed his dad by being a big drinker and that was not a good choice. If you like baseball this is the book for you!

Dove Alight (The Dove Chronicles)

Dove Alight (The Dove Chronicles)

By Karen Bao

A war filled with planets and spacecrafts that are beyond our reach for the stars. Having deaths and wars between the same race is like killing thousands among thousands of people everyday. Many suffer, many die, but space will not get any more crowded in this atmosphere. Based on Future presents this book it doesn't exactly have a time period. The book Dove Alight by Karen Bao, Phaet the protagonist, has to go through a war filled with death and many teams against each other. The committee the antagonists of the story, make it hard to be happy and move on from past mistakes and also stops Dovetail trying to make peace and rise up to the committee by collaborating with others. Phaet is a war girl and she tries to make the best decisions possible for her siblings and friends, and one of the conflicts she had was to speak up among thousands of people who could reject her idea. Phaet is also struggling with her siblings joining in this war like region. The content in this book would be appropriate for 6 up, the reasoning I say 6 up is because of the somewhat heavy topics and it’s really hard to pronounce or read some of the words in this book.

Zenn Diagram

Zenn Diagram

By Wendy Brant

This book is about a teenager named Eva Walker who has an interesting infliction--she feels emotions whenever she touches someone. She's had it since she was young, and Eva doesn't know what life is like without this "gift." However, it creates some distance between her and others, especially potential boyfriends, which is difficult for her. If that weren't enough, her parents are really her aunt and uncle, and she has four brothers/sisters who are really her cousins. It's a complicated life, but it gets even more confusing when she meets a boy, her first real boyfriend. This is an interesting book on life's circumstances, complications and the way in which things work out.
