Kids Books - Literature

I totally recommend this book to anyone who loves a good laugh. But if you want a story then this is just jokes so then you have to find a different story. If you want a lot of jokes and you and your friends love hatchimals then you can do the jokes on your friends.

I am highly interested in the history of Woman so when I learned of Rosie the riveter I knew I just had to read this. I learned many things about what it was like for woman during WWII getting a chance to work real jobs and not just stay at home all day "taking care of the kids" and "making supper before their husbands got home". I've always found it strange that they weren't given these opportunities before some thing horrible like a war happend. I recommend this to 12+ or to anyone whom is interested in women's history. I liked this book. I thought it was funny when Mr. Cooper was dressing up as different people in fact I think that someone dresses up like people in every book. My favorite character is Mr. Granite ( the real Mr. Granite). because he says he is from the planet etinarg but at first before all the aliens arived I thought Mr. Granite was kidding and he was not from another planet. :D that is why I like this book. :D

This book is a funny quick book and good to take after reading a really long book.

Julia Alvarez, the author of Before we were Free takes readers back in time to the 60s in Dominican Republic. The setting is in the Dominican Republic in 1960. Some of the main characters are Anita, Carla, Mami, Papi and Tio Toni. Some of the plot is the SIM invades Anita’s house. Julia’s writing style is in first person. I don’t like it because it was hard to follow who was who. She makes it confusing on whether Chucha is a human or a pet. It also does not feel like you are in Dominican Republic in the 1960’s. I was long and had to many spanish words. If you like action adventure or fantasy than this book is not for you. If you like books about social issues than this book is for you. Before we were free was given the Pura Belpre Award. Julia grew up in the Dominican Republic.

I thought the cover looked interesting with the squirrel and I love adventure books so I decided to try it out and from what I've read so far it's one of the most amazing stories! I hope to get to the end and find out what happens! If you want an adventure then this is the book for you!

This was a great cookbook I made one recipe out of it so far and it was so good !the meal I made was minestrone!it was great and very easy.what I'm also going to make in here is the eggs in rolls it looks very easy and yummy also 😋 I love to cook and this is a great book for kids or adults that love to cook.I recommend this book to 8+ (because it may be to hard for younger kids)and I rate this book 5/5 stars 😁 😁 Pizzagirl7 😁 😁 !

This book is quite funny. You should read it. The boy in the book loves wafers and knows how to do wafer balancing. My favorite part is when Delia's hair looks terrible because I find it funny. I think kids of the age 6 - 12 must read this book.
