Kids Books - Friendship

Carly is not your typical 11-year-old girl. she sleeps during the day unwillingly and awakens at night. in a little town called Whistle Root, vegetables are mysteriously left on people's roofs and music is heart at night. she awakens one night to meet a rat that soon leads her on a mysterious adventure that teaches carly about friendship, magic, and family. Personally, it's an okay story, but a little childish. It's definitely written from a unique perspective and is a story that is unusual. If you like books like Dork Diaries and A Wrinkle in Time, you'll probably like The Mysterious Woods of Whistle Root.

Warning! This review contains spoilers! Hazel and Jack are best friends. But Jack starts acting weird, and ditches Hazel. Hazel is absolutely devastated. Then Jack goes missing, and Hazel sets out to find him. What I thought of it: I didn't get it. Hazel was just annoying. She was always complaining. She completely overreacted when Jack started being "mean" to her. She was really dependent on Jack, and I found that slightly creepy. I couldn't bring myself to really like her even a little bit. Hazel's mom was annoying too. She tried to shove Hazel into a friendship with some girl, and Hazel just went along with it. She didn't really seem concerned at all when Hazel was complaining about Jack's weird behavior. She basically just saw it as a chance for Hazel to just forget about him and make friends that are girls. The writing style was awful. It was very descriptive, and that got really old really fast. The author used a lot of metaphors that didn't really make sense. It was extremely annoying. The only 2 characters that I actually liked were Jack and that girls uncle. Jack seemed like a really cool guy. Hazel really didn't deserve him. The uncle was really awesome. I didn't understand how Jack's parents thought that he was visiting his aunt. Were they under a spell? It was extremely boring. The first part seemed like Realistic fiction, but the second part seemed like Fantasy. That really annoyed me. Hazel's trip through the woods was boring, and it seems like it would never end. She meets a lot of people, and none of them turn out to be how she thought they'd be. The moral of the story seemed to be that you can't REALLY be friends with someone of the opposite gender without complications, and that it's better to stick with friends that are the same gender because if you have a friend of the opposite gender it's inevitable that you'll drift apart. I thought that was down right stupid. I could barely finish reading this, and I thought about stopping and never finishing it because I didn't really care how it ended. I had high hopes for this book. I read a lot of reviews praising it for how wonderful it was. I honestly don't know why everyone loves this book, and thinks it's so beautiful. Overall I hated it. This one of the worst books I've read in a while. Which is why I had to review. I need to save people. There was one girl who I told how much I hated it and she said she wouldn't read it. Everyone who didn't like this book, review. We could be the superheroes of literature.

I really liked this book. I think it is interesting what happens to her. I would like to read this whole series to so I definitely suggest this book.

The book white fur flying explains the story of Philip,a boy who doesn't talk,Alice who loves to write and always tells the truth even in fiction,and there is Zoe the main character.This book is very short and sad I would recommend this book from ages 7-10.White Fur Flying is a wonderful book for people who love dogs.:D

I really liked The Truth About Truman School is a good book because it teaches you about how people change and about not to cyber bully, Infact not to bully at all. One of the things I noticed was how quickly a good thing can turn into a bad thing, and about one decision ( for example, not taking something down from a website, ) can make a small little insult on the Internet,into a cyber bulling problem. The lesson I can take from this book is to be carefully what I say and do not only on the Internet, but what I say to people in person. This book is proof that the saying, " sticks and stones may brake my bones but words can never hurt me," Is NOT TRUE! So think before you speak and act.

YAY!!! just got this book and its sooooo cool. this is a graphic novel about the Little Prince and the Fox, who are chasing the Snake through the universe as the Snake tries to darken the universe. The Little Prince and his furry friend find themselves on the Planet of the Winds. the Eolians use their wind to keep their planet heated and protected, but snow has started to cover the planet. It turns out there are pirate who are stealing the winds from the Eolians and the Grandmaster is trying to stop them. Little Prince and Fox are there to help find the ancient winds that were hidden so long ago. the Little Prince and the Fox must answer tough questions such as: Whats wrong with Zephr? Who are the pirates? How is the Snake involved? with beautiful artwork and great story telling the Little Prince is back in a graphic novel series and i am so excited for the rest of the books!!!
