Into the Land of the Unicorns (Unicorn Chronicles (PB))

Into the Land of the Unicorns (Unicorn Chronicles (PB))

By Bruce Coville

I decided to read this book again because I remember really liking the series before. It wasn't as good as I remembered and got a little boring at some parts, but it was still a good quality book. Cara, the main character, had to participate in a very big trust test at the beginning of the book, when her grandma tells her to jump off of a clock tower. The reason for this was that a suspicious man was following them when they were walking home from the library. Her grandma is suddenly talking about very strange things, and Cara isn't sure wether her grandma was going crazy, or if she should believe her. She decides on the latter and discovers a wonderful world with mythical creatures that is called Luster. As I said before, it isn't my favorite book, but still pretty good.

A Big Day for Baseball (Magic Tree House (R))

By Mary Pope Osborne

This was a really nice book! I loved how Jack and Annie went back to this specific baseball game, and how they became friends with some other kids. It was also interesting to see them in a different time period, and how everything was.

Veronica wilson

Its an amazing book ! You should totally check it out! I loved it when I was in 4th grade but I was at a really high reading level for my grade, so I would say it is more marketed towards early teenagers.

Parallel Journeys

Parallel Journeys

By Eleanor H. Ayer

This is a great read if you are wanting an accurate account of the Holocaust and World War II from two completely different viewpoints. Alfons Heck, a Hitler Youth, explains the brainwashing that took place among the German youth. Helen Waterford, a Holocaust survivor, tells of her experiences in the Holocaust.
