The Problem Child (The Sisters Grimm, Book 3)

The Problem Child (The Sisters Grimm, Book 3)

By Michael Buckley

I loved this book. But it creeped me out a little. I mean, in the story, little red riding hood is just an innocent little girl, but in this book she still is, but she is crazy. Like actually crazy, for real. She is the one who stole Sabrina and Daphne's parents. She thinks that a Jabborwocky is a kitty, and she thinks the Grimm sister's parents are her parents, and she thinks that Mr. Canis is her doggy, and Granny Relda is her grandmother. This book has it all! Excitement, Sorrow, Happiness, and so much more! Read this book and it will be the your favorite, at least for a little while.

Guest: A Changeling Tale

Guest: A Changeling Tale

By Mary Downing Hahn

This book surprised, as I usually find spooky books doing, such as Coraline. I set out preparing to be totally spooked out and bored, but it actually intrigued me... I left out the last star simply because while it was a fascinating read, it did not inspire me to do anything. All in all, worth the time, not my favorite, but that's just me. Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Boys' & Girls' Library)

Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Boys' & Girls' Library)

By Mark Twain

Ok, so I have read more of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer. So it gets more exciting when you go into later chapters.Im going to start by telling you about the part where at school,he's crushing on Becky Thatcher and his mission is to get her attention. They end up meeting and getting "engaged"But then Tom tells her that he was engaged to this other girl,Amy Lawrence first. They get all mad at each other and all that. Then a couple chapters later,he decides that his Aunt Polly doesn't love him anymore and Joe decides the same thing since his mother whipped him earlier thinking he stole the cream when she had actually thrown it out herself. They decide to become pirates and they also invite "Huck" or Huckleberry Finn to come with them.At first the boys think this is great fun to pretend to be pirates when they catch their own food and make camp without their parent(s).But then on Saturday they see a ferry sort of boat coming with a party of people searching for them and they feel really homesick. Then when the night comes Tom gets so homesick that he sneakes back to his Aunt Polly's house when the boys fall asleep. He then waits till she's asleep and kisses her goodnight. The next morning the boys want to go back home because they don't like being pirates anymoreWhen he sees they aren't kidding he calls for them and tells them his secret. They then get caught in a terrible storm and then go on a log to the church and hide in an unused gallery to attend their own funeral. They then show themselves and everyone is relived and happy to see them especially Aunt Polly.

Nick and Tesla's High-Voltage Danger Lab: A Mystery with Electromagnets, Burglar Alarms, and Other Gadgets You Can Build Yourself

By Bob Pflugfelder, Steve Hockensmith

This book has very funny adventures. I really enjoyed this grade 4 240 page book. Actually I am named after Nikola Tesla and who always wanted to be a mathematician and very intelligent with it. My second favorite subject, science, is a very fascinating which I learn a lot. My parents are biochemists and like to study biochemistry a lot (favorite hobby). Nick and Tesla discover really dangerous adventures like high-voltage. I also liked the mysterious part when they found many gadgets. The best part I liked was the part when they found a voltage lightning lab KABOOM. That's why I liked this book so much and 5 rated it. LOVED SO MUCH 5 star

One Green Apple

One Green Apple

By Eve Bunting

In the world times can be rough when you don't know how to do something and react. In ‘One Green apple’ by ‘Eve Bunting’ The author never says this but i get enough evidence to know Farah is a particular one and the author does say she cant speak English and just moved to a English country and speaks to any of the other kids and if she had been able to speak to the kids she would probably fit in way better and faster. One Green Apple teaches you things can be hard but you can get past it. This is true for Farah because she made a friend. This shows that you can always get through stuff no matter how hard it is and you don't give up And my second reason is she stopped getting picked on and this means people stopped talking bad about her and being mean this shows that you can always get through stuff no matter how hard it is and you don't give. My final reason is that she got a good drink and stayed with her group and this is important because that drink gave her confidence to stay with the group. This shows that you can always get through stuff no matter how hard it is. One Green Apple teaches you things can be hard but you can get past it. This is true for Farah because she made a friend. City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments) Book Three

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments) Book Three

By Cassandra Clare

The Mortal Instruments series never fail to suprise me, especially this one. Being the third book out of six books, it's really important how the middle of the series goes because it determins how the direction of story would be later. This book is full of twist and turns which will never dissapoint you. I really like Clary because although she is a shadowhunter, she is like every girl in the world, trying to figure out who they are and figuring out our own identity. The ending of the story was clearly the best part of the whole book, it's a cliff hanger that would want people to find out what's next in the fourth book, it also explained a lot of confusing things that were a mystery to me before. I would surley recommend this book to people around 12~30 because if gives kids a feeling that anything is possible and give adudlts a feeling of their childhood. (just in a more normal way)
