Kids Books - Family

This book was so great, that I love it. I liked how it was written when Turbo, the hamster, was "hamster-napped". I love queen Stinkypants, who is a baby. Everyone was amazed when Captain Awesome came in the room. Charlie is Captain's best friend.

Quite personally, I thought the book was AWESOME! I hated some of the blabbering and lines until the juicy stuff came along. I thought it was pretty sad at the beginning when “Pap” got attacked by an alligator. And it was quite shocking to find out that Tim wasn’t a boy. Knowing all this time from the beginning. The best and most exciting part came when in Shenandoah Valley the battle broke out. Yanks vs Rebs. There were some pretty funny moments in the book. Like when Thrasher ends up eating a whiskey watermelon. I thought that part was pretty amusing. I really thought this one was a good one. Most fictional Civil War books I read are from the point of view from Union, but this one I like because it’s unique and different from most. It gives us a point of view from the Confederates. And so, I think that is interesting. If I were to rate this book from 1 to 10, I’d say a solid 9 and a ½. As the book had exciting and funny and interesting parts for the most part. And all the talking and conversations were interesting but they were probably in the least. If I could recommend this book to anybody, it would probably have to be people interested in the civil war or wondering about it. Because this book is quite the interesting one. A view from the opposing side. The confederates (if that’s your point of view.). Or people who own a confederate flag or have southern heritage. Because they could feel how this kid could feel. This book was REALLY good. And I think it’s definitely worth a read.

Vladimir Tod (a.k.a Vlad) is a thirteen-year-old Half-Human, Half-Vampire (!) He lives with his 'Aunt' Nelly who helps him keep his secret a e takes blood from the hospital she works at so Vlad doesn't have to bite people. Anyways, while being a vampire isn't hard enough he also has to deal with bullies and also his crush is kinda more info his best friend Henry. When a teacher he actually likes is declared missing the new substitute teacher Mr. Otis is very interested in Vlad and keeps asking questions like "Why does he live with his Aunt?" And "Where are his parents?" With all this happening now can he does even begin to coop with vampires hunting him for his father's crimes!? I absolutely-definitely recommend this book! ***Spoiler Alert*** When I read Way of the Warrior Kid I think that it means that you need to preserve and not give up. In the beginning of the story Marc, the main character in the story, can’t do any pull ups and doesn't know how to swim. Marc wishes he could swim and do pull ups. Later in the story, Marc’s uncle who is a Navy Seal, teaches him how to do pull ups and learn how to swim. I can relate to the story because I have to persevere in Cheer every time my team does our routine. That’s how I can relate to the story. I learned that you have to keep practicing or you can forget. In the book Marc has to keep practicing pull ups and how to swim. This is what I learned from Way of the Warrior Kid. In the book, one of my favorite parts is when Marc learns to swim. He makes a deal with his uncle that by the end of summer he will jump off the bridge with his uncle. By the end of summer, Marc will jump off the bridge, but it took a lot of guts because the bridge was really high up. In this scene he persevered a lot. In the beginning Marc wasn't going to jump off the bridge. In the end he jumped off the bridge and Marc had a lot of fun. I can relate to this because when I was little I went into a lake when ice was still on the water so that took a lot of guts also. Marc changed because he was being bullied at school and did not want to get bullied any more for not being able to swim or do any pull ups. Being bullied was the right motivation to get him on his feet, moving. I hope you enjoy reading Way of the Warrior Kid.

Cousins by Karen McManus is a book about three cousins Milly, Aubrey, and Jonah Story. They get a letter from their rich mysterious grandma that they know nothing about and have never met to come work at her resort for the summer, and all their parents agree one thing they have to go! When they get there they all realize the whole Story family has secrets and now is their chance to find out what separated their family all those years ago. I love the way every chapter is from a different persons perspective and even every now and then a flash back from when their parents were younger and still on the island. With surprises around every corner its hard to put the book down. Cousins is a really good book for ages 12 and up and people who like mystery books.

My friend Teah recommended this series to me. Now I am happy she did! I love the boxcar children mysterys!

It was ok. It was very sad in some parts. I liked the chapter about 5:30. It was funny. I would recommend reading the book but I would get a box of tissues!

i loved it really i did i just found it extremely sad in the end 😢 but the book itself was amazing and had a good ending just loads of parts were sad. The first thing we had were the ribbon and edit text in Word format for it was the original file with just the same file as you sent me a copy for it.

This is the first book to the most HILARIOUS series I've ever read! 12-year-old Robert Columbo Burnside experimented with ordinary house items in his door-less closet, making it a big MESS. And when his mother gave him tons and tons of books to read, well, he just threw them into the chaos of a closet. Rob's dad came home with a weirdly shaped door and fitted it on his closet (where it stayed), proclaiming it looked just right. The door has an EMBARRASSING unicorn sticker on it that just would not come off, and a doorknob with a face that Rob named Beardy. But lo and behold, Beardy locked Rob out of his closet! When Rob finally gets back in, he discovers a little creature that was a, shall I say, interesting cross between Willy Wonka and Frankenstein. Rob stumbles into an adventure led by little Wonk, who grows his toes and is always ready to pull a prank.
